The farmhouse is situated in the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada, known as the Alpujarras, close to the market town of Orgiva. The property is set within its own landscaped gardens and the mountain views over the Rio Guadalfeo valley are stunning. The original farmhouse is over 100 years old. It has been renovated to a high standard keeping the original Andalucian features. You have plenty of living space and double doors that open onto several terraces so you can enjoy both the morning and evening sun. The entrance porch and patio captures the early morning sun and is a good place to have breakfast. The property benefits from hot / cold air conditioning in the living area and 2 of the bedrooms. Additionally there are 2 efficient wood burning stoves for use in the winter months. The pool is large 14m x 5m with a terraced area to one end and is available between the months of May & September (weather permitting).
Further Details: This is ideal walking & mountain biking territory & from your door you have access to a footpath which links the higher mountain towns should you want the challenge.
The water supply comes from a private spring and we recommend buying bottled water for drinking & cooking. Water can be obtained at no cost from treated springs in the nearby spa town of Lanjaron.
The house is located on the Tijola road approximately 7 kilometers (or 6 on foot) from the town of Orgiva. The last kilometer of the approach is on an unmade-up road, which is passable in a normal car.
Booking Notes: Booking is direct with owner & confirmed once a 25% deposit has been paid. The balance is payable 4 weeks prior to departure. The changeover day is Saturday although there is some flexibility outside the main season.
