The second floor has two additional bedrooms. One large room with a queen bed, sofa and loveseat. One smaller bedroom with a double bed. The upstairs bathroom has a shower. Outdoor BBQ gas grill. Perfect location and easy to find right on HWY 16/385 between Hill City and Keystone. Go right next door to the famous Dakota Stone Rock Shop, with gem panning, mine advanture, and gift shop. Hill City's newest winery is also right next door, with two other winery's within two blocks. One brewery next door and one just around the corner. And just five minutes to the world famous Alpine Inn Restaurant. Also you can access the ATV trail system from here and go north on miles of trails. We have lots of parking for campers, trailers, boats, so bring your toys.
Hope to see you soon

Overall, we were pleased with this house during our visit to the Black Hills. It was in a good location for traveling around the area, and the highway traffic did die down at night, so it was OK for sleeping. The house was clean, the kitchen had everything you need, and the house was decorated very nicely. The only unfortunate part is that there is an strong cigarette smell upstairs. I don't know if that is a permanent smell from years of a smoker living there, or if the people who stayed before us were smoking there, but we had to re-wash all of our clothes when we got home, because you could smell the cigarette smoke on everything. Also, it is a very old home, which means the stairway is very narrow, and could be very difficult for anyone who has mobility issues. The winery and brewpub next door did not have any noise issues. The grocery store in Hill City is just 5 minutes down the road and convenient.
The home was clean, conveniently located and amply stocked with toiletries and pantry items. Really appreciate the hospitality. Great place to visit Badlands and Mt. Rushmore.
The house was in excellent condition and fit us all well. Third bedroom can only be entered through the bathroom or through the second (largest) bedroom, so that was not ideal but okay. There isn't a backyard or space to play outside so it's not as family-friendly, and it's right off of the highway. However, it's a very convenient location for all Black Hills attractions!
Great central location to the attractions in the area. Just under a half hour to Rapid City; 5 minute drive to Hill City. It is right on the highway, but noise is not an issue if windows are closed. The wine place next door is tame- no noise issues. Place was clean, fully stocked, and they were very responsive when we just needed paper goods on one occasion. There were 3 adults, and two teenagers, and more than enough room. The stairway is narrow and fairly steep...would not recommend for anyone on crutches, etc, but not a problem for us. Heating and AC worked fine. The photos are a fair depiction of what it looks and feels like. And we kept amused from time to time with the goats, chickens, and ducks in back yard. Yes, we would stay again.
Our annual sister's trip was terrific this year! We loved staying at the Hidden Treasure house. It was perfectly situated to see all the sights we managed to see: the Black Hills countryside via Iron Mountain Road, Mt. Rushmore Monument, including the night lighting show, Crazy Horse Monument, visited and poked around fun/funky old mining/western towns, enjoyed exploring Custer State Park with a picnic lunch at Sylvan Lake, saw the mountain goats at Needles Hwy. tunnel, some really big and up close bison, deer, antelope, & turkeys. The property was comfortable and cozy, and had everything we could need for a vacation stay, except for intermittent cell phone service at that spot; maybe that was a good thing since we were "on vacation!" The rock shop next door was fun to browse through. We enjoyed the goats, ducks, and chickens right behind the unit. Staying at the Hidden Treasure made this trip very memorable for the four of us!
