This condo is oceanfront and looks onto Honl Beach.

We have completely remodeled the unit. The condo has tile flooring through out the unit. There are double wide sliding glass doors leading to the lanai and beach.

The bedroom has a king size bed and flat screen TV with full cable.

The bathroom has all new cabinets, a decorator sink and a tile and glass stall shower,

The kitchen has an over the stove micro wave oven, electric stove and oven, dish washer, and a refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. Custom seamless counter tops and sink are featured in the kitchen bar.

The Dining area has a glass top table that seats 4.

The livingroom has a queen size convertable sofa, flat screen TV with cable, DVD player, air conditioning, and an IPOD stereo.

There is free WiFi in the unit.

The Kona Reef Resort is less than a quarter mile from Kona town. Walking distance to many resturants and night spots. The reef is right next to Honl Beach. It is also 9/10 of a mile from the start/finish line of the Annual Ironman Championship.

As we live on the Island in Kailua, we are readily available to assist our guests with information on local siteseeing.

Kona Reef is a hidden gem.

The condo, as you see in the picture, is a next door to a sandy beach. People drive to this beach to enjoy it and you don't have to. If the surf's up, there will be surfers and bodyboarders doing their thing. You will see cruise ships and parasailers go by. Sunsets are spectacular on this property. This unit has a garden like feel with a lot of shade during the day (if you want sun you can go to the pool). We appreciated the upgraded finishes and the king sized bed. This was our second stay at Kona Reef and we will be back.

Great stay

Great stay in this unit. Everything you needed was there from pots, pans, dishes, towels, water toys, washer and dryer in the unit, so convenient! Close to town, walked with an 11 year old. Nice pool, friendly people around the condo, easy parking, right next to the beach. The only thing I would say is the pull out couch would be good for 2 little kids aged 9 and under or 1 older youth/teen/adult. Great location to town, not right downtown, so its quiet but so close it was easy walking. Walked into town for shopping, dinner and the sights.

Great location

We have stayed in the Kona Reef before and like its proximity to town. This unit has all tile floors, new kitchen counters, and a remodelled bathroom. The king size bed is very comfortable. We like it that you can get a good cross breeze through the unit, aided by the 3 ceiling fans, and only turned air conditioning on a couple of times. The things that set it apart are the many little extras that are provided. The towels and bedding are excellent. There are toiletries. And the kitchen is loaded with helpful supplies. We didn't need them, but anyone with a baby will be delighted to discover that there are lots of baby supplies too.

Loved it!

Loved our stay. The property is just as described and steps away from the beach. I wanted a location that I could walk to the water and see the ocean from. The nearby beach was perfect for me; I walked out and snorkeled or just sat and enjoyed the beach. The park is public, but not a problem. People there were quiet and polite. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning.

It is obvious that the owners take pride in their property. I felt like they stood in the doorway and thought to themselves “What would I need/enjoy if I stayed here?” And then made it happen. At one point I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to have a clothes hamper?’ And sure enough, there was one in the closet. The extra touches are evident throughout the unit.

Property was clean and well maintained and stocked with a starter supply of needed items. Owner was available and nearby, but no assistance was needed. Paulette was charming and offered ideas and recommendations for things to do.

The location of this unit was convenient for our walking forays to Ali’I Drive and our driving tour of the island. Along with exploring the island, we snorkeled, went horseback riding at Paniolo Ranch, visited Volcano National Park and enjoyed an outrigger ride and snorkel tour with Ehu & Kai at Kealakekua Bay.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family.

Very nice property, walking distance to "downtown" Kono, shops, resturants and more.

The property was as listed. Marty and Paulette were a dream to work with. We made a reservation for a time after a cruise around Hawaii. The cruise was canceled. They let us rebook so we were able to do the cruise after rebooking that, then stay in Kona. The change of dates went like clockwork.

Very nicely furnished, next to beach and ocean. Beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to "downtown" Kona for dinning and shops. Close to airport and sightseeing around the island. We used this property for a nine day stay as home base to explore the Big Island. Work out great.

Great location, nice view, comfortable furnishings. We were impressed that the owners provided us with new snorkle gear. The place could use a good detail cleaning, but was generally a very pleasant place to stay.
