I live in Wilmington. I purchased the condo to rent as well as enjoy for myself when it is vacant.
We enjoyed our time in this affordable condo. It was close to many eating options and just steps away from beach. The pool was a nice option for the kids too.
Great location, clean, easy in and out, and the location! Great experience and would book again and recommend to anyone.
Just like it was described
Great customer service from the owner
Everything you could want in walking distance. Great food, bars, grocery store all right there. Can bike, run, and of course the beach.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!! Place was clean and had everything we needed. Great location as well. Have to come back in April for a wedding, have my fingers crossed it's available!!
The location of the unit is great, you are withing walking distance to the beach (within 100 yards).
1. The room is ok, we had 2 adults and 2 teen age kids.
2. There is only bath room, the only issues were in the morning
3. The room needs updating, all the baseboards are made from pressed wood and need to be replaced.
4. The walls has been patched and painted but it looks like it was a "rushed" job and needs to be re-done
5. The door deadbolt was and issue, with one of the keys, it seem to always stick.
6 . The air conditioning worked great and actually we had to turn it up to keep from freezing us at night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the room is a little tight, but the location is great.............
Jason was helpful and accessible by phone, email and text; he had a good sense of humor about the units needed repairs including the blinds (the kids were sleeping in the living room as they were to young for bunks, the early morning sun came shining through way before 7am) and a beat up recliner; I actually slept in a bunk bed the first night to avoid noise on coming from street, overall the unit is in fair condition but for the price it was suited. Parking was available but not covered, public parking was also available for guests and these spaces had a high flow of activity, even late at night when you might be trying to sleep. I had a short drive to my conference at UNCW and only had 2-3 nights of inconsistent wifi acces through broadsail online, I recommend this system be revisited for a unit access point through a local cable provider, not everyone will be there for vacation and some of us might actually have to do some work via the internet where consistent access is vital. One really neat feature was the August app, this was important because the key didn’t always work in the dead bolt without a really good vice grip, the August app would automatically open and lock the bolt if batteries were sufficient and the battery cover is attached properly; don’t forget your smart phone and don’t forget the access code, the code might be different from what you get told initially. The beds were sufficient but the master bed mattress had a concaving gravity pull towards the center, the blow up mattress was great for the boys but we found some really unsightly spots on it, not really sure what those brown spots were, probably chocolate ice cream we were hoping. Access to the beach was great and if you have a beach cart, canopy and chairs you might end up storing them on the patio that overlooks the street, the elevator, luggage carts and shopping cart made getting things in and out easy but make sure if you need them its not during a check in/check out time for the other units where 75% are managed by 1 South Lumina. The managers on site had no allegiance to our unit as it is not managed by them and we were directed not to ask them for anything, however, it is ok to ask them about their rates and availability for the units they rent out. Overall, for the money this unit met the minimal expectations and needed repairs and some quality painting/base board work/blinds/furniture…but for $1400 a week, you’re not going to find better, most likely.
Condo walking distance to the beach! Excellent location, nice accommodations, friendly owners. Extras to make it feel like home ~ beach chairs, umbrella, coffee, washer/dryer. Small condo with 1 bedroom/1 bath, queen bed in bedroom, but can squeeze in more people with bunkbeds off the kitchen and sofa bed. Only negative is the VERY slow internet connection. We really enjoyed our stay (other than my teenagers that struggled with internet connection).
