Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was exactly what our group was looking for. 8 of us (4 couples) had planned a camping trip this month but got rained out. Someone in our group found this listing on VRBO and we were super lucky to learn that it was available for the following weekend. The owner was super nice and communicative. There were no surprises. It was exactly what we were expecting and it was wonderful. The cabin itself is modern, clean and comfortable and the surrounding environment is gorgeous. We spent the weekend eating home-cooked meals, playing board games, going on short hikes and enjoying the company of old friends. We all slept like babies, and everyone agreed that the cost was very competitive for what we were getting. I would definitely book this rental again!

A very nice and clean cabin!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is located in Glacier, about 20-30 min drive from the skiing area. The cottage itself is very clean and well equipped. Overall a great stay.

There is no internet in the cabin and no mobile reception as well, this is not bad, but we wanted to explore the area and internet could be very useful. We even were not able to find where to buy a sno pass. There were 4 pretty big children with us, closed in a small space, but there were no suitable movies for them (Avatar was the only close one). After they were tired of playing games, it could have been nice to have something else to entertain them with.

The heater in one of the bedrooms didn't work, so this bedroom was freezing cold. We were not able to contact the owner, as there was no reception and the land line was for local calls only. We ended up placing a fan at the entrance to the room, to get hot air in, decided not to make an issue out of it.

There are no groomed sledding hills in the area. There are nice hills 30 min away, on the Picture lake, but as they are not groomed you often find yourself buried up your waste in snow, or sliding down a very dangerous hill with lots of holes. This has nothing to do with the cabin, which was very nice, just a general info for parents.

Everything you need for exploring Mt. Baker

  • 5 of 5

We thought the location was perfect. Centrally located, depending on the weather and interests you can travel to the end of the Mt. Baker Highway or to Bellingham. The town of Glacier is quiet and charming with everything we needed for the week. The cottage was very comfortable after a day of hiking.

Comfortable cabin near Mt. Shuksan

  • 5 of 5

Clean, comfortable and well maintained cabin in quiet residential area near Mt. Shuksan. Everything we needed for a relaxing getaway weekend. Being able to bring my dog made this an appealing option, too.

Exactly what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time using VRBO and it was an excellent experience. Toni was great working with this rookie to the system. I kept calling her, didn't realize I needed to download the app until later. The cabin had everything we needed. Fantastic area for getting out day hiking and it's great having a comfy place to head back to at the end of the day. I definitely would recommend this cabin to others and would stay here again if we ever get back this way.

Warm and cozy getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is perfectly appointed! The kitchen offered everything we needed, the sitting area was wonderful as was the warm fireplace. The power went out twice due to the big storms over the weekend, but we had a lovely time regardless. I did want to especially note that this was the cleanest VRBO we have stayed in. Thank you!
