Relax and get away to the White Mountains in eastern Arizona and enjoy the four seasons, while staying in this beautiful two story log cabin, which is situated on a private 300 acre lake, with 200 feet of shoreline at your back door for fishing, swimming or launching the canoe, kayaks or pedal boat provided on site for your use.
This cabin was built in 2007. The master bedroom has a queen bed and large bathroom with over-sized shower, as well as a sliding door right off the deck. There are two other bedrooms and a bath on the first floor - each bedroom has a queen bed. Upstairs is a large loft area with a private sleeping area with a queen bed and a private bath.
The home is beautifully decorated with cabin decor of bears, elk, moose and fishing motifs, accented by large log beams and vaulted ceilings throughout.
The family room is quite large and has a floor to ceiling stone gas fireplace with juniper log mantle, built-in alder entertainment center and bookcase, and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen boasts numerous alder cabinets and counter space, with a separate dining room that seats 6 - 8 people and is complete with an antler chandlier hanging over the beautiful oak table. The laundry room is bright and cheery with a washer, dryer and sink. It has a large window that overlooks the lake and leads into the oversized attached two car garage. There are hardwood floors throughout, tile in the bathrooms, and carpeting in the bedrooms and loft.
For relaxing and enjoying the beautiful sunsets, evening stars, passing fishing and pontoon boats all you have to do is sit out on the oversized deck, which is partially covered, to enjoy the nature around you. From your vantage point you will get to experience fish jumping out of the water, ducks and geese swimming by, bull frogs croaking at night, and the occasional elk, deer, fox and coyote that may pass through. The deck also has six foot stone and tile built-in gas grill for bbq's outside, plus a nice dining table and 6 dining chairs, as well as an abundance of other outdoor furniture for lounging and relaxing. For those that like outside campfires and marshmallow roasts, there is a large stone fire pit outside. The cabin is nestled among numerous tall juniper trees and has been professionally landscaped with aspens, red maples and pine trees that provide a very private setting.
For the golfers out there, Silver Creek Golf Club is a championship public 18 hole golf course that weaves its way through the subdivision and around the lake. The golf course also has a restaurant on site - The Sandbagger Grill - and their Friday night 'all you can eat' fish fry is the best!
Besides golfing and all the water activities available, other popular and fun things to enjoy in the area are: hiking trails, horseback riding, antique shops, go-karts and miniature golf, chair lift rides, snow skiing and sledding, numerous restaurants, movie theatres, and the Hon-dah Casino.
The cabin is located in Eaglecrest Subdivision in White Mountain Lakes, just 15 minutes northeast of Show Low and thirty minutes north of Pinetop.

We reside in Scottsdale and have lived in Arizona for over 25 years and love all the outdoor activities you can do up here in the White Mountanis. We especially love the water and using our various boats to explore the lake - it's a great vantage point for watching wildlife along the shores. The cabin has been a fun place to bring up our friends and family for weekend visits. We have two grouwn married children and two small grandchildren living in the Phoenix area so more of our time is being spent at home with family commitments, as well as work commitments. We are very happy to share our home with you and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.!

Because of our love of water activities, and in particular, boating, we immediately saw the uniqueness of this property and we have spent many enjoyable hours 'playing'on the lake! The pedal boat can hold two adults and two children and is very stable and a good choice for those that don't have their 'sea legs'. The canoe can hold two people and the two kayaks each hold one person. These boats are great exploring the whole lake, especially in all the narrow passages in the arms of the lake. The sunsets are magnificent and sitting on the deck watching the sun go down and reflecting on the water is amazing. At night the stars are the most brilliant we have ever seen. It truly is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy nature, cool off in the summer, enjoy the fall foliage, and play in the snow in the winter.
Besides kayaking, canoeing or rowing about the lake, we have used our sailboat and done some sailing as well. We also like swimming in the lake on some of those hot summer days. We love all the beautiful rock formations along the shoreline and our most relaxing time is sitting out on the deck. In the morning we enjoy drinking our coffee and enjoying the sunshine and beautiful clouds. Evening is our favorite time to be out on the deck as the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous and the reflection on the lake is just breathtaking. Close by is horseback riding, numerous hiking trails, casino, ski resort, and restaurants and shopping.
This is an amazing home to get away from it all! We stayed to fish and play and thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ area that overlooks a glorious canyon! The home sits on a bluff overlooking the canyon and lake! The trek down the 30 or so steps carved out of the hill was exercise for us oldsters but it was worth the effort! The peaceful calm was just what the doctor ordered! The home itself was magnificent and the log beams and cathedral styled two story glass windows were a delight! The kitchen was large and had everything needed to cook! Thank you for sharing your exquisite home!
Worked great for our family reunion. The kids enjoyed the paddle boat and lake the adults enjoyed the hiking and relaxing on the deck.
First, the owners are really nice folks. Dawn is a very detail oriented owner...which I so appreciated. Great instructions, she lets you know where to put everything so when you leave you know you did good. :-)
Any questions, she was right on top of it, got back to us right away.
Home is so roomy, well laid out. GREAT big deck overlooking a beautiful lake. kayaking is so good. Very quiet location. Description was consistent with reality. :-)
We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Thank you Dawn and Bill.

If you have high expectations of a VRBO rental prepare to have them blown away! This home is spacious and warm. We had six adults and two children and always felt like there was plenty of room. The deck overlooking the lake is where we spent most of our time - even when it was raining thanks to the roof over the dining portion of the deck. Lake access at the house is difficult - I suggest putting the kayaks in the back of your SUV or truck and driving to the nearby beach and boat dock about 1/2 mile away.
The house - especially kitchen - is well equipped. Plan on cooking and staying in unless you want to drive 25 minutes or so to the nearest town. There is a decent little mom & pop pizza place close by - but we waited two hours on a Sunday evening (with only about 20 people in the place) - ugh!
All in all this is an excellent Northern Arizona home - if you're looking for a fun, family friendly place to rent...this is it!
We had a real nice time at the Lakefront Cabin. The kitchen area was great with all the counter space. It gave us plenty of space to lay out everything we brought for the long weekend. The back deck was just as great with the large dining table and the views of the lake. The only thing that was some what disappointing, was the fishing, unless you want to catch craw fish, which we did and caught plenty with a trap we made. Our seven year old grandson called the cabin a mansion! We would recommend this cabin and are looking forward to another stay next year. Bob & Holly.
