About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 7-8)

Wonderful family home with a fully fenced yard just a 5 minute walk to beautiful, sandy public beach. Brand new windows and stucco last year and completely updated. Play all day at the beach and in the warmest tree lined lake in Canada (there is a geothermal feed in the bottom of the lake!). Return home to sit on the deck and enjoy a bbq with friends and family. Enjoy sharing stories around the large fire pit or watch a movie in the living room on the comfy couches. There are many activities to do in and around Christina lake including free tennis and a baseball diamond across the street from the house! You can hike or bike a leg of the Kettle Valley Railway line. Or if you are more adventurous, try one of the great mountain biking trails! Waterways sports rents paddle boards and bikes by the hour, day or week.

The amenities are bountiful at the lake. There are fabulous coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants and pizza, a grocery and liquor store, and laundromat. There is a marina where you can dock your boat or rent if you don't own. Swimming lessons are offered at the public beach as well! The family can enjoy mini, a fabulous par 3, or a full 18 hole golf course.

15 minutes down the road is Grand Forks, a town of 5,000.

I have been coming to Christina since 1998 where my family rented a cottage for a week. We loved it so much we bought a couple of little houses and are now renting them out and staying when time permits.

Keywords: Cozy, 3 bedroom with 4 beds, many amenities, air conditioning, private, near tennis courts, beach, new deck, quiet

About Carolyn

My family has been coming to Christina Lake since 1998 and is our favourite place. The kids will miss summer sports to be here instead!!

Carolyn purchased this house in 2005

Why Carolyn chose British Columbia Mountains

Because we love it so much! The activities are endless: biking, hiking, the lake, river floating, and simply...just getting some downtime.

What makes this house unique

I love the big yard, and how sweet the house is. The location is so perfect. We are at the south end of the lake, near the public beach and stores. The area is very quiet and the stars are amazing at night - bring a telescope too!. The peace and quiet here is rejuvenating;a great place to have an unforgettable stay with family or friends.

From the moment you enter the home it feels warm and inviting. Lots of extras available for children. Great outside area for dinners and campfires. Close to many amenities including the beach and tennis court/park. Friendly neighbourhood. Only one bedroom on the main floor.

Great Family Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

I spent a wonderful, relaxing week at this property with my parents and young family. The house was clean and is very comfortable. We enjoyed playing card games in the cozy living room and having meals on the patio in the backyard. Having the tennis courts and the playground across the street was great, as well.

Our Family stay at Christina Lake

  • 5 of 5

We had a great vacation at Christina Lake. The house was wonderful, located close to the beach and our kids loved the tennis courts, playground, and baseball field all across the street. We had everything we needed and loved the barbeque and meals on the deck after a great day at the beach. We would highly recommend this house and will look to come back in the future. Our dog loved it too, it was so nice to be able to bring him on the family vacation.

Pure Bliss

  • 5 of 5

The pictures on the website do not do this cottage justice! The layout of the house worked perfectly for us as a party of 3 adults, 4 kids and a dog. When we were at the cottage we would be on the deck, watching the kids play in the yard or at the play park which is just a stones throw away, we were only really in the cottage on an evening !

Carolyn left a wealth of information from hikes to restaurant recommendations which we found very helpful. We would walk the 5 minutes down to the beach daily usually after a morning stroll with the dog.

If you want to get away from it all and reconnect with the ones you care about then this is the vacation home for you!

Thanks again Carolyn, we will be back :-)

Family reunion at the cottage

  • 5 of 5

This summer we packed up the entire family (Grandpa, Grandma, Me and my 2 sisters, and the 4 grand kids) and headed to Christina lake. Staying at this cottage was an amazing experience, the yard is huge, has a huge deck with propane barbeque, a fire pit and it’s fenced so we could leave the dogs to roam free (and the grand kids). Very comfortable air conditioned rooms, well equipped kitchen, and a very cozy feel all around. We loved the lake, it is a short 3 block walk, very warm water and clean. The owner of the cottage is awesome, very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this cottage and hope to make it out again next year!

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

Staying at this cottage was an amazing experience for us. With all the comforts of home and so much charm, we loved it! The decor is lovely with lots of special touches and everything we needed was on hand. The backyard is huge and we enjoyed spending time around the fire pit, deck and BBQ with family and friends. With tennis courts and the baseball diamond on the same block and the beach only a couple of minutes away, the location couldn't be better. The lake is fantastic with so many things to do and see. Warm water and amazing scenery, a great sense of community, fantastic accommodation - we couldn't have asked for anything more. Can't wait to go back!

Car: recommended

The house is across from the tennis courts, ball diamond and a kids playground. There is an apple, crab apple, and pear tree as well as a grape vine in the yard. The yard is fenced and big enough to set up a badminton set or play bocce ball.
