Guestbook comments from the owner

This rental was wonderful! It is literally right on the banks of the Grand River, which would be great for fishing in the summer. The house was clean and has a lot of nice woodwork in it. The kitchen is definitely galley size, but was easy to cook in. We look forward to a summer stay when we can be able to use kayaks on the river.

Clean, Private, Waterfront location

  • 5 of 5

The owner will respond to your emails very quickly and was very accommodating by answering all of my questions about the property and activities around the area. The house was nicely situated right on the river. There is a small deck that you can stand on however the river was high due to rain so it was complexly covered. The inside of the house was very clean and well taken care of. The nice up to date furniture furniture was very comfortable. For those that like fires, the fireplace is very nice and actually works correctly (no smoke back into the house) and plenty of wood is provided.

I will stay at this property again for sure and highly recommend it to anyone thats wants some peace and quiet with a water setting and a large, clean place to do it at!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay! Fluctuating river levels do affect the whether the dock is above/under water, but thankfully the open bank and stair area allows access to fish or kayak. We look forward to hosting your group again in the future! Thank you for staying at River's Edge Cottage!

Great place to be ,in the heart of wine country.

  • 5 of 5

The place was clean and very well maintained. It looks just like the pictures provided, but the view is way better when your there. Erica, the owner helped me with whatever I needed or any questions I had. We were less than 30 minutes away from wine country and Geneva on the Lake. We loved fishing in the river, which is right in the back yard. All the activities in the area are nice, but spending time with my family at such a nice place made it the perfect place to stay. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thanks Erica

Perfect relaxing weekend

  • 4 of 5

The location was great. The surrounding areas beautiful. The house was very clean, and the decks wondeful. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather. Will definitely keep this home in mind in the future, seeing as we enjoyed ourselves so much we would like to come back.
