This secluded 2,500 square foot treasure is located on eight private acres with 400 feet of waterfront on the west bank of the Hudson River. It provides a glorious six mile panoramic view of the river, its shipping channel, and the eastern shoreline.
You will be staying in a nature lovers paradise with Bald Eagles, Great Blue Herons, beavers, otters, Ospreys, turkeys and more. You'll have great fishing from our docks. Tivoli Bays, a 1,700 acre nature preserve, is located just across the river and, together with Magdalen and Cruger Island, has many interesting channels and coves which can be explored by canoe or kayak.
Boat launches with ramps are located either one mile north, at Glasco Mini Park, or about three miles south, at Charles Rider Park or you can take your chances on ours. Docks for your personal boats are just steps from your door at your private Haven. Boat rentals are available on the Esopus Creek three miles north of the property. Roundout Creek, at Kingston, is six miles south, where you can visit the Hudson River Maritime Museum and enjoy fine waterfront dining

Recently spent three days at Haven. It was simply wonderful. The owner has anticipated your every need. The kitchen is unusually well equipped down to the coffee bean grinder! The views are truly spectacular from both the inside of the house and the river shoreline. We rented a pontoon boat at the Saugerties marina and a friend provided an informative tour of river sites for my guests. The house is only about 10 minutes away from a great farmer's market so there's no need to bring food with you. They have anything you might want from fresh seafood to ice cream! I look forward to returning, perhaps alone this time to truly unwind and once again enjoy the beauty of the Hudson.
My son and I enjoyed our brief stay at this relaxing, beautiful home. The river traffic and wildlife were incredible to view. The bed- and bathrooms are comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen allowed us to prepare meals to maximize our time at the home.
The Hudson River is beautiful. The house is set up to allow residents to take the river in. This is our second year coming. We loved the hiking, visiting Olana where the artist Frederic Church lived, music in the area (Maverick in Woodstock and Bard) and watching the river flow. Chad was wonderful.
This is the second year that we have stayed at the "river house". It is the perfect place for people that want to sit, read and watch the river go by. The area has wonderful hikes and historic places to visit but the porch and the river are the reasons we come back. Thanks Chad!
We took this house for a last minute Fourth of July weekend break, looking for some peace and quiet away from the city. We definitely found that! The house is spacious and well equipped, with beautiful views across the water. We loved sitting out on the deck, watching the wildlife and enjoying the sunshine. We visited the Millbrook winery nearby, which was great, and can recommend the nearby Adams Farms for groceries, and Riverside Pizza for delivery. Chad was really helpful and easy to deal with and gave us some great tips to enjoy our stay. The only thing we could have used was some more detailed directions on finding the house (it's quite a way down a mysterious looking track) and some matches to light the outdoor candles. So all in all - nothing much!! We had a great time and highly recommend staying here, it's just lovely.
This house is absolutely amazing!! The interior is beautiful and the views are magnificent!! Everything you could possibly need is provided - along with things you wouldn't think of. Four of us spent four days to attend the Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck which is only 15 minutes away. We didn't want to leave this house - its warm and inviting and feels like home.
