Wonderful place. Great location. Just right for 2 people for a weekend.

This is a gem. Not luxurious, but quite nice, with all the necessary amenities. Clean as a whistle. Total privacy. Quiet except for the distant sound of the streetcar as it passes through the neighborhood, which was kind of ice, IMO. Plenty of towels. Washer/dryer came in handy. Full kitchen, and although we didn't cook, it looked like one could turn out a real meal there. The table inside is too small for more than 2, but there is a bigger table on the patio. Very comfortable bed. Lovely patio. Stunning neighborhood. Great location off St. Charles, easy walk to Magazine Street. We rented bikes for the stay from Mike's Bike shop on Magazine, which worked well, although Uber comes very fast, even on a Jazzfest weekend.

We hope to return.

My only comment would be that it could use some instructions on the TV (3 remotes!), AC (we couldn't find a thermostat and the AC on and off somewhat mysteriously and was a little too cold at times), and WIFI (we were slow to find the PW taped on the side of the fridge). Very minor issues.

Very clean, well postioned 1 min walk to Street Car ride into centre

Jeremy unexpectedly met us upon arrival and offered to show us where the local shops and facilities were. We agreed as we needed to stock up on provisions, although there was so basic food stuffs kindly provided. They were an easy 8 minutes walk away but Jeremy gave us a lift in his pick-up truck as he was luckily free. We got on so well with Jeremy who also introduced us to his local bar The Kingpin - a really relaxed and friendly place with great staff and customers.

Another day we met his partner/wife Edan who was also very friendly and lent us hair products to help us get ready for a wedding we were attending.

The accommodation allowed us to be very independent and all amenities we needed were walking distance. We jogged to and around Audubon Park on 2 of the days which was really lovely. A nice balance with the craziness in the French Quarter.

We would not hesitate to recommend Cypress Hideaway and the Tamales that are served outside the Kingpin.

perfect space

my gf and i came here over the holidays and were very pleased. it's the perfect getaway if you don't want to be in the middle of the french quarter craziness. the streetcar is a couple of blocks away and the neighborhood is super nice!

edan was an incredible host and so easy to communicate with. i hope to be back for sure!

Our review title says it all.

Owners were extremely helpful, always available and patient & kind when we created a problem for them.

Loved how the hot water from the shower lasted and lasted.

The modern kitchen was a delightful surprise as well as how comfortable the bed was.

This place had all the conveniences of a home one could want or need and in a lovely quiet neighborhood.

We would definitely stay here again - actually we would plan our trip dates around this rental being available.

The Perfect Spot

Loved staying at the Cypress HideAway! Great location! Perfect for walking to Manhattan Jack's for breakfast and taking walks in a beautiful neighborhood. The HideAway was extremely well-equipped - had everything and more than I expected. Very efficiently organized. Comfortable queen bed. Will book again when in the area.

Great apartment in a great locatino

I stayed here for four weeks while doing a rotation at the Ochsner Medical Center. It was the perfect size and location to suit my needs. The St. Charles Ave Streetcar stop is just a block away and can take you all the way to Canal Street in a manner of minutes. It's a very quiet neighborhood as well. Edan and Jeremy were attentive to any issues that arose and quickly responded with a solution. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone visiting NOLA who seeks to avoid the craziness of staying along Canal St or in the French Quarter, but still wants easy access to everything NOLA has to offer.
