Self Catering 3 Bed, Peaceful location for a Family Sun Holiday, Fantastic Views

This luxurious Villa is detached and very private with fantastic views of Montana Roja, Fuerteventura and Lobos. It is a perfect location for a great family holiday in the sun!

Over two floors, you will find the beautifully decorated master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a spacious dressing area that leads out to it's own large sun terrace.There are two twin bedrooms and a spacious, family bathroom. The stylish lounge offers satellite TV, PS2 Console(No Games) and DVD player. Off from the modern fitted kitchen is the covered dining area.

The dining area is open to the terrace creating that 'Al Fresco' atmosphere, the perfect place to dine or just relaxing with a glass of wine. The beautiful heated swimming pool, large patio areas and a planted garden are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing and the property is totally private with Lava rocks walls to the perimeter. Local shops, cafes and restaurants are just two minutes drive away.

Outside, Pool, Patio & Garden: The beautiful Private Heated Pool is managed twice weekly, cleaned for your arrival and water samples checked etc, approx 8m x 4m and maximum 1.80m deep in the centre, access via Roman steps, with a solar pool cover, which should be put on during the night and when not in use to help with maintaining the water temperature, and keeping clean.

Large patio areas and a planted garden are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. Plastic glasses, six sunbeds with cushions, six chairs, large oval patio table and two low tables are provide for use around the pool/patio.

The dining area is open to the terrace creating that 'Al Fresco' atmosphere, the perfect place to dine or just relaxing with a glass of wine. Traditional canarian bbq for those evenings at home relaxing.

The property is totally private with lava rocks walls to the perimeter.

About Lanzarote: In 1987 Lanzarote was declared one of the six universal models of sustainable development by the World Tourism Organization and in 1993 it was declared a Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO.

Lanzarote is the most easterly of the seven major Canary Islands and lies in the Atlantic Ocean only some 100 km (60 miles) from the coast of Africa and 1,000 km from the Iberian Peninsula.

What a gorgeous villa for our family holiday. We had a fabulous holiday loving the fact that the villa was in a very quiet area with just a short walk to the local shops, perfect for those breakfast croissants. We had a car to go and explore the island but the villa was so lovely we often enjoyed just chilling by the pool. Casa Olivina its self was very spacious, decorated tastefully, and impeccably clean. The villa was very well equipped with everything that we could have asked for, the books and DVD’s were a nice touch and very useful. The pool was perfect for playing in, which was just what we wanted and we made good use of the BBQ too.

All in all this was an excellent villa, faultless for a family holiday we would recommend to friends.

Relaxing New Year Break 2009

We wanted a holiday where our 2 young kids could swim in a pool without getting bombed or splashed by other kids. We saw this villa and contacted the owners who were really helpful.

Casa Olivina was more than big enough for us. We found it to be extremely clean and finished to a very high standard. It is tastefully decorated and was like a home away from home. Every last little thing was thought of, even books, DVDs and toys for the kids.

Although there is no shallow end in the pool, it is a great heated pool and my husband and I could relax whilst the kids played in the pool - needless to say, our kids loved it and spent hours in it every day.

The garden was also very well maintained with nice sunbeds and a lovely alfresco dining area.

The location was perfect - because it is in a residential area, we found it to be peaceful, quiet and private. We hired a car and would highly recommend this, especially with a young family as this means Playa Blanca is easily accessible, as is the rest of the island. Just about everywhere on the island is good for driving. It's also the best way to get to many of the attractions in Lanzarote - Jardin de Cactus, Montana Roja, Castillo de las Coloradas, markets especially in Teguise, just to name a few. And, above all, parking is easy and usually free.

We spent New Year's Eve in Playa Blanca and saw some amazing fireworks displays on the sea front. And, when the kids couldn't stay awake any longer, we headed back to the villa where we saw the rest of the display from the roof terrace - a truly amazing experience!

The location of the Villa is ideal if you want to have good access to Playa Blanca but have some peace and quiet to relax. And, if you don't fancy driving, then the walk way alongside the sea towards the Marina was well maintained and ideal for promenading.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casa Olivina and hope to return soon.

Superb Villa, Fantastic Holiday

Unfortunately we had to leave & come home.

Found the villa to be exactly as described, very clean & well maintained. Plenty of outside area with sunny & shaded areas as required & a great pool which was soon put to good use. Had a weekly change of the bed linen & towels with the pool regularly cleaned although we never got to meet the pool man as he always came early in the morning before we were awake. The information pack left in the villa was a great help regarding restaurants & things to do. Positioned on the outskirts of Playa Blanca we found the area to be very quiet which is what we wanted but just a short car ride to the centre of the resort.

This was our second time in Lanzarote & would thoroughly recommend Casa Olivina as a fantastic base for a brilliant holiday.

Relaxing Holiday

We had a lovely holiday in this villa. Soon felt at home, it was comfortable and clean. In a great spot, quiet and out of the way of the main part of Playa Blanca... which suits us. Local restaurant , La Flaminco, was very good.

This was our first time in Lanzarote and would definitely come back to this villa.. Just a small negative.. . We cooked most nights in the villa and the black was coming off the insides of the pans.. Perhaps time for new ones?

Fantastic Week in Great Villa

We have returned home after a fantastic week in the villa.

The villa is superbly maintained and recently decorated. It was very clean, private, spacious and the swimming pool was also maintained to a high standard. The gardens are also very well maintained.

Excellent information from the owners pre-arrival and also on arrival helped us to settle in without any problems.

Our little boy loved the heated pool and we spent many hours playing in it. There was plenty of space for us to play paddle tennis at the side of the villa as well.

The Satellite TV was great and had all sports channels much to my delight! The al-fresco dining area is also superb and was put to good use by ourselves for several meals.

There is plenty to do on the island. We hired a car and also got out and around the island which has some very interesting places to visit - the Cactus Gardens, Volcanic Areas, Teguise Market but to name a few and I even managed to sneak in 9 holes of golf!

We would definitely recommend this villa to our friends or relatives and hope to return at some point in the future.

Nice property - couple things to note.

Lovely well-kept property, garden and pool. However the villa is located right by the entrance security gate to the estate. During our stay we were regularly disturbed by taxis dropping off residents in the early hours of morning. Also the bin store for the estate forms part of the side garden wall and is emptied before 7.00am by rather noisy bin men.

The villa, gardens and pool are immaculate, although this property is for six people and having paid for a villa for six it was a surprise to be left with two sunbeds and four patio chairs.

Fantastic holiday

What a lovely villa . Good communications with the owners before we got there . Very clean and tidy throughout . Good pool and regularly maintained . Stayed for 10 nights and bed linen and towels were changed mid stay which was a nice touch . Great location with a few bars , restaurants and a bakery within a 10 min walk and playa blanca just 10 mins away in the car . Fantastic holiday thank you .

Playa Blanca is located on the south of the island and still retains the atmosphere of a once small fishing village. This flourishing but tranquil resort is ideal for family and people looking for relaxation: with its beach borderlined by picturesque restaurants and a shop lined promenade, almost always basked in warm sunshine and offers superb views of the mountains and the island of Lobos and Fuerteventura.

From the harbour at Playa Blanca, ferries cross several times each hour to Fuerteventura.

Papagayo, the most gorgeous beaches on the island is a conservation area. Accessed by foot, car or water taxi, beach after beach, six in total, of golden sand and clear water, with some great snorkelling at their rocky edges.

Marina Rubicon has a selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, designer shops, galleries and market.

Timanfaya National Park transformed by the Volcanic eruptions is surreal, the landscape is totally unique, experience the lunar landscape and views of the volcanoes.

Prices are per week (7 nights) based up to a maximum of 4 people, please add a further £120.00 per week - up to a maximum of 6 people.
Deposit of 30% will be required to secure booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to departure.
Security Charge of £150.00 per week at the time of paying the final balance, this will be refunded once the management company have confirmed the villa has been left in a clean condition as on arrival. Any breakages or damage will be deducted from this sum and notified to you via e-mail.
Arrival after 1600hrs (4.00pm) and depart by 1000hrs (10.00am)
Alternative times by prior arrangement, and only if possible at time of request.
