You can start your wonderful island morning by seeing the beautiful sunrise colors over the Atlantic Ocean from the king bed, balcony or living room! Blue Heron Suite is on the BEACH END of Gull Reef building. (Tybee streets are sideways to the ocean for the most part and thus many buildings are sideways to the ocean.) You'll love your spacious 3 bedroom, two bath suite with a queen sleeper as well! There's a jet tub in the huge king suite. You have covered parking and an elevator up to the 2nd of 3 floors, and this is the first suite after getting off the elevator.:) That's so much better than carrying your luggage, groceries, etc. down long walkways!
WE DO NOT USE THE ONLINE BOOKING FEATURE BECAUSE WE DON'T THINK THE TRAVELER SHOULD PAY A BIG FEE JUST FOR BOOKING! For the first many years in business, vrbo did not have online booking. Now they have an outside co. collect money and send to owner if you book online for a charge to owner AND guest...more profit for them. We'd rather keep our price down for you and work like they did for their first about 15 years.:)
The suite is well equipped for your comfort, NOT like a 'normal' rental. We even provide a PACK 'N PLAY for the baby in your party! This is NOT a 'three towel total' unit like you might have experienced before. You'll have towels in both baths and a washer and dryer in the kitchen should you need to do laundry. Our hospitality company will leave you a 'goodie' bag of supplies and surprises for your arrival! :)
You have easy access to the Cabana Club (3 pools, etc.) and the fee for it is included in your rate! The on site restaurant does provide food service in the pool area if you wish.
We believe in treating our rental guests like family visiting family.
We look forward to having you visit our beloved Tybee home!

John is a dentist and I'm in medical marketing and public relations. We live in Dublin, Georgia, just about 2 hours from Tybee, and ADORE visiting the island whenever we can. We look forward to sharing our beloved Tybee home with your family. Warmly, Lynn.
Stu or Susan purchased this condo in 2012
We're only about two hours from Tybee Island, and the quality of life added to our family by having a suite to visit there is wonderful!!!
We adore our easy access to the suite, its huge size, and our wonderful ocean view from the living room, balcony and king bedroom! The use of all the Cabana Club pools and other amenities is a delight, and it's so handy to have the marvelous food available at Marlyn Monroe's restaurant on site. We have covered parking so that we don't get wet if it rains, AND we don't have to get into a 200 degree car in summer! This is the perfect spot on Tybee to us.
As first time visitor's to Tybee Island, we had no idea what to expect from this rental, as on line renting can be kind of scary. We were every excited when we arrived to find a clean and well appointed condo that was just steps away from the ocean. The décor was great and we had plenty of room for all 8 of us (two families). Every contact we made before, during and after the rental process was handled quickly and professionally. We will rent this place again as we loved the area.
I never ever give reviews...however this time its well deserved, we was sooo happy with this condo! It was so clean we usually dont unpack because you never no whats lurking around..but here everyone unpacked with ut any worries it was spotless and just felt clean, it was a large condo we didn't fell cramped at all. we enjoyed our stay so much we was able to add a extra night to our vacation, deff didnt want it to end. everyone should stay here! we will most deff be back
I took my elderly parents to this condo for their first trip to Tybee. They LOVED the island! The unit was very spacious and comfortable. We found just about everything we needed in the unit, with the exception of extra bedding and a pitcher for our iced tea. I'm only giving it 4 stars, though, because although it was close to the elevator, the wheelchair access ramps are extremely difficult to maneuver all around the complex. Also, both bathrooms have tall bathtubs, which are virtually impossible to access if you have difficulty stepping up high. If you need a place with a lot of space, this condo is great, but if I take my parents again, it won't be to this condo (or even to this complex--Beachside Colony) because we need a place with better handicap access.
This was our first time going to Tybee. Our stay was very relaxing with great weather! The best thing about this condo was how clean the place was. We usually go somewhere every year and I always worry about how clean a place will be when we arrive. This condo was very clean. I did not have to sweep or pick up any dead bugs! Spotless. Would definitely recommend for a family! Walked to the Sugar Shack (great ice cream) almost every evening. AJs was our favorite place do get seafood!! Beach was beautiful !! Thanks for sharing your place!
We rented this Condo for from Jan 31 - to March 3, 2013. The pictures accurately depict the condo. It is on the second floor and the elevator is just down the hallway. Since the spaces are not assigned you may have to walk a bit if the lot is full in high season or if the restaurant patrons park in the tenant spots. The unit was clean and well appointed. The beds are not new but were comfortable. Sofas were comfortable. A few things to consider: there are 3 flat screen TV's but no HD service on the cable signal so you are not watching a full screen display. There was HBO which was a bonus. There is no radio so bring a portable one if you want local news. There are a wide selection of music channels on the cable you can listen to, but I prefer local stations that adverttise events and weather etc.
The owner and the booking agent were helpful and pleasant. We had a transformer blow on the street one day and the owner responded quickly to inform us that the problem was in the neighbourhood. All the power was restored within 4 hours. A note to any renter: the fuse panel is on the wall behind a wall hanging on the back wall of the kitchen. Something that was forgotten to be included in the comprehensive list of things hanging on the refridgerator. When we lost power in half the unit I couldn't find the panel to check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit.
The building is well maintained. For Snow Bird renters there is a group within the complex that organizes outings. The owner provided a selection of brochures and maps and info on Tybee and Savannah. They also provided garbage bags and dishwashing soap and a new sponge. The pots and pans are in dire need of replacement. We bought a new pot and brought our own frying pan for eggs. There is limited pantry space in the kitchen. I would have liked to see hot water available for the washer. It is plumbed with only a cold water feed..
The best restaurant on the Island is within walking distance of the unit "The Sunday Cafe" You need to make reservations. The other place we enjoyed was Vic's on the River in Savannah. Go there for lunch. Excellent food and reasonably priced for the location.
The good thing about staying at Tybee Island is you get the best of both worlds. A beach and an historic city within a 15 minute drive.THe beach is just outside the door. The public library is acorss the street as is the YMCA with a gym.
We would highly recommend this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Labor Day weekend. The condo was exceptionally clean, nicely furnished and comfortable...even with 8 of us! Arrival and departure was seamless and easy, and having all the conveniences of home made it a great stay for both adults and children. The convenience to the beach was perfect, and luckily we enjoyed perfect weather. I definitely recommend this condo to anyone planning a Tybee Island trip...and I plan to book again soon!
