Central Coast California Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4

Park Place, the place to be in downtown Paso Robles. In this chic location above acclaimed restaurant Bistro Laurent and across the street from Cris Cherry's famous Villa Creek, you will find yourself in the pulse of everything downtown, nightlife included! It's a leisurely stroll to everything in downtown, with a fashionable, private suite apartment awaiting your return. The beautifully refurbished apartment overlooks trellises, trees, and old brickwork from the balcony. Just steps from the movie theater, shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms, this gem provides city living in a gracious setting. The king-sized bed and large, flatscreen TV make the bedroom suite a terrific hideaway to come home to. Spend summer evenings on the balcony, overlooking Bistro Laurent, with a glass of that perfect wine you found during your outings. An apartment-style kitchen with smaller dishwasher, refrigerator, and convection oven complete the scene. (There is a small parking lot at the building with no designated parking, as well as a large public lot across the street and street parking.)

Guestbook comments from the manager

My girlfriend and I loved Park Place. The location is great and we were able to walk back for drinks and dinner every night. When we walked into the door, we were both surprised as to how nice it was. The pictures didn't do it justice. It's much nicer than a hotel room, modern, and perfect for a couple that wants a great location right next to downtown.

Reviewer Comments:

If you want to stay in downtown Paso Robles, this is your place. Steps to restaurants and shopping. After a day of wine tasting, it is nice to relax a bit before walking to dinner instead of having to drive. The apartment was clean, modern, and had just about everything we needed. We did not do any cooking, but you could easily make meals, although the kitchen is small. The only negative aspects were parking and noise. We arrived on a Friday at 6:00 pm and had to park several blocks away (no designated parking for this property). Also, it was very noisy late Friday night with loud and drunk people leaving the bars. Early Saturday morning is garbage/dumpster/trash pick up in downtown, so we were awakened early with truck noise (squeaky breaks, back up beeping, etc.). Ear plugs are a must if you want to sleep in. Sunday morning was quiet though!

April 2016 Stay

We loved the location of this property. It was nice to walk to dinner after a day of wine tasting. The negatives were parking and noise. We arrived in Friday at 6:00 and had to park several blocks away. The trash/dumpster pickup was very early on Saturday morning and noisy. Also, there was s lot of noise from drunk people leaving the restaurants and bars at 1:30 am. Earplugs would be helpful.

Great experience @ Rooftop Hideaway!!! Everything was perfect from the beginning ....location, rental condition & my experience with property management. There are great restaurants all around Rooftop Hideaway & the wine tasting experience rivals any in Napa area! If you are looking for a special get away retreat, the Rooftop Hideaway will provide you with that experience!

Reviewer Comments:

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this apartment. Pros: Location great for visiting area vineyards and restaurants within walking distance around the beautiful square, nice mini-kitchen and bath. Cons: Very noisy at night which we didn't expect and had to sleep with ear plugs, rugs were stained and needed replacing, only chair in living area needed replacing. Coffee maker was dirty and still had grounds in it, leaked so we had to call for a new one which was delivered. There was only an uncomfortable stool to use at the work table which was miserable as my husband and I had to spend time on the computer. No kitchen table, only TV trays. Sofa very uncomfortable. Heads Up: no washer/dryer which we needed as we were on a road trip. I should have checked. Ended up leaving a day early for family emergency.

Owner's Response: Marla, On behalf of the owners of Park Place and Paso Robles Vacation Rentals we take our guests satisfaction very serious. We have replaced the living room chair and reviewed all your input. Being right in the heart of Downtown City Park square I am afraid street sounds are out of our control. We appreciate your visit. Hope you and your family found comfort and resolution in your family emergency.

GREAT place to stay in downtown Paso Robles.

  • 5 of 5

I'd never been to central, or Southern California before, but quickly got a sense for Paso Robles, and I think this is the ideal place to stay if you already know a bit about the place. I felt lucky. The restaurant downstairs is pretty high-end, so no late night loudness at all, but it is close enough to the rest of downtown that there's not much walking needed unless you want some it. I like walking, so we did a lot. Parking was a breeze, and the stairs to get to the rental were always easy to see and traverse. I think this was before the light bulb burned out, as mentioned in a recent review. Much of the rental seemed to have been recently redecorated, and unlike some rentals I've seen, the job was well done. I do slightly better than mediocre work around the house myself, so I can tell when someone hires pros. We were unable to get the media/entertainment situation going, and are not technologically incapable, but we only spend about 20 seconds trying. We both like to read, and really don't like to spend our vacations in front of a picture-box. And that restaurant downstairs, Bistro Laurent is really terrific, but probably has its own rating/review system.
