Let us share our pristine beach home with you. Dacotah Hill is a 2 bedroom 2 bath oceanfront property. Professionally decorated and new on the market, this luxury condo is in pristine condition. The third floor 'end unit' offers great views from anywhere in the condo while at the same time being easily accessible via the elevator (and no one is walking above you - we are the top!). Watch the sun rise from the deck on the ocean side or the sun set over the sound - whichever way you turn it's beautiful.
We have spared no expense to make this home inviting and comfortable for your vacation. The kitchen features granite counter tops, tile flooring and stainless steel appliances including a glass cooktop. The kitchen is well stocked for the cook in the family and outdoor community grills are available for the barbecue masters. The master bedroom has a king bed and separate entrance to the balcony. The second bedroom has a queen bed and sound view. There are two full bathrooms with granite counter tops and tile floors. Washer and dryer, front porch and private furnished balcony round out the experience.
A peaceful, family environment, the Outer Banks provide many options for enjoying your vacation. Sandy beaches, surfing, kite boarding, dolphin tours and deep sea fishing await you on the Atlantic. Brad - electrical engineer and Terri - nurse. 6 kids between us - his and hers, and five grandchildren. The beach is our favorite place - especially in the off season. We love to read, spend time with family, eat good food, and listen to good music.

We like the atmosphere in Rodanthe - quiet, peaceful, small town.
We had a marvelous time during our stay at Dacotah Hill the week of October 8 to October 15, 2016 despite the unwelcome guest of tropical Storm Matthew! Dacotah Hill kept us safe and sound those first two days while Matthew battered the OBX. The condo is perfectly sized for the 2 bed/2 bath unit it is. It is decorated lovely with a coastal feel but without the cliche beach theme. All the furniture and the beds were very comfortable. Roku TV provided us with the entertainment (Netflix, Amazon TV, etc.) those first few days as we rode out the storm. Once the storm passed we found beach access was easy and the condo complex has the shower/foot washing stations needed to clean the sand off before going back to your unit. With it being a 4th floor unit the elevator was handy when we were carrying things up or down. If you love the sound of the ocean, the three ocean front windows in the master bedroom are perfect for bringing the sounds of the ocean in to sleep by. We did not find anything lacking regarding the unit during our stay. This property met our expectations, it was very clean and well maintained (like new) and the owner was very responsive to our questions and quickly processed the return of our security deposit. When we get ready to come back to the OBX again, we'll cross our fingers Dacotah Hill will be available again!
We were thrilled with this property and would highly recommend to anyone that values gorgeous views, proximity to the beach, comfort and cleanliness. The kids had a blast with their own room, and the master bedroom overlooking the ocean was a nice treat. The property owner was responsive and ensured we had everything that we needed. We will be considering this property again in the future and definitely recommending it to our friends and family.
We have lovingly rented this beautiful unit for the past 5 years. This last stay included an elevator out of service and NO internet/TV/DVD access. We are not unreasonable and understand that things happen - what we do not understand is how the owner does not bear some responsibility. We accept the terms of the rental which includes a damage deposit and (on the higher side) cleaning fee. Yes, we have expectations but they are based on the standards set by the owner. The owner has ignored our last 2 communications (a text the day before our rental ended and an email a week and half ago). We can't help feeling disregarded and disrespected. If nothing goes wrong you will enjoy this place but if something is not right, it seems your business is not valued which is not acceptable to us.
This was our 3rd stay. Condo was nice as usual but a thunder storm early in the week knocked out the elevator and the WIFI. Had to walk up and down 3 floors to get to the condo. This was never fixed for the remainder of the week. Had to carry all of our stuff down 3 floors upon our departure. Felt sorry for the people coming in after we left. The WIFI was never fixed for the remainder of the week either leaving us with no Internet and TV. Owner said that there was nothing he could do. Hopefully the owner will send some extra $ when we get our deposit back. :(
Condo is absolutely beautiful. The king size bed in the master suite was amazing. The view of the ocean is perfect
We could not ask for anything more
Unit was updated very nicely. From the crown molding to the chair railing to the huge baseboards, the woodwork was very well done. Granite counter tops, nice cabinetry, well made furniture, everything was chosen well. It seemed that the owner thought of everything...lots of dishes and kitchen gadgets, a good supply of DVDs and games, even folding chairs and beach umbrellas. Great view and easy access to the beach. Very clean. The only complaint I can think of is that the sliding door to the balcony didn't lock but that is really irrelevant since it is on the third floor. We plan to come back again.
