About Joyce Keady

We are a retired couple, that wish we had taken up skiing at an earlier age. But we love Angel Fire for its cool summers.

Joyce Keady purchased this condo in 2011

Why Joyce Keady chose Angel Fire

We had been looking at condos in Angel Fire for a couple years, but when we found this one, things just fell into place: Met a lady in church who showed it to us, she lived in the same neighborhood as my brother and the previous owner lived 5 blocks from my sister. We felt it was meant to be!

What makes this condo unique

Nothing is far from anything in Angel Fire! The people are friendly and the pace of life is slower. And we don't have to go to the big city to find really fine dining or things to do.

Guestbook comments from the manager

To be honest we were a little aprehensive, being that this was our first Vrbo rental. As soon as we arrived, opened the door, and stepped inside...aprehension became excitement. I just don't know how to describe the awesome time we had in angel Fire and I give much of the credit to Wren-101. Everything we needed for our family of five. Privacy when we wanted it but plenty of open space for family time and meals. Short walk to the lifts, easy drive down to the grocery store, on site washer and dryer, very clean and nicely appointed. When we return to angel Fire, this is where we'll stay, I'm a creature of habit and Wren 101 gave us no reason to look for somewhere better in the future, because I'm not sure it exsists.

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

Me and my better half with our 5 boys really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous place that easily housed us for a few days. With the limited produced snow this year we were glad to have such a comfortable place to hang our hats, as we spent more time than expected inside.

Everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Spent the weekend skiing in Angelfire while having Wren101 as our homebase.

Great location to the mountain - short walk to the Chile Express. Condo comes with everything you need for cooking (we cooked all of our meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner) and entertaining. Ski locker outside had enough room for 4 pairs of skis.

Condo looks much bigger than in the pictures. Living room area is spacious and one of the couches reclines. There's nothing better than kicking back and reclining after a great day on the slopes.

Newly installed WiFi and Dish network are great. Lots of channels! WiFi fast enough for us to hook up our Roku and stream movies and Netflix. Check-in process seems a bit daunting at first (most places on VRBO are turnkey) but the property management company's office is close and the people were helpful and friendly.

Would definitely stay again!

So very cozy!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! When choosing a place online, you hope you've scoped out the photos & asked all the questions..but past that, you just have to wait and soon as we opened the door, and got in it was apparent, it was perfect! Very comfy & cozy..great proximity to the the little tram/bus to take ya to & from the lodge/slopes. Thank you for providing such a nice & affordable place..we sure hope to return.

Ski trip

  • 5 of 5

For three guys making a short weekend ski trip to the mountains, this condo worked out perfectly. Condo is a short walk downhill to the chilly express. Fortunately the shuttle dropped us off at the front of the building after we finished skiing. Not a long walk, but we were not looking forward to it after being worn out from skiing. Condo was clean, roomy and had everything we needed. thanks for a great stay.

Great Family Trip!

  • 5 of 5

We decided very last minute to spend our Spring Break in Angel Fire. Only heard about this place from friends but other than that had no idea what to expect. Took a chance on the condo and just went for it! This was one of the best vacations we've had! The condo was wonderful, views spectacular and just what my family needed to get away from city life and spend time together! We will be back next year to create more great memories in Angel Fire!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review. It is only thru comments from our tenants that we learn what we need to do better. So happy everything was to your liking. We look forward to having you back next year. Please pass along the good information to family and friends for their vacations.

Wonderful summer vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful experience at The Wren #101. The condo was roomy and had everything we needed for the length of our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appiance you can imagine and we slept 8 people comfortably - 4 kids and 4 adults. The condo is located in the perfect place where you can practically walk to the ski lift. We definitely want to come back in the winter, but the summer was very nice with many outdoor activities for the kids to enjoy. We highly recommend the condo!!

Horse drawn sleigh rides also available. Angel Fire has become a popular ski resort perfect for families. Slopes for skiers of all levels. Summer has blossomed with nationally known mountain biking trails and as well as a 'heat escape' resort for many Texans. Rafting on the Rio Grande is available near Taos a short 30 min drive.
