Inviting Folly Beach Private Home/3 Bedrooms/3 Full Baths/ Perfect Location

Originally built by Joe back when time moved a little slower, summer days seemed to melt into one another and family and friends gathered on porches to enjoy light conversation and cocktails while benefiting from the evening breeze. This lovely, updated 1950's private home helps you step back into a simpler time, curling up with a good book, living shoeless and never needing to get into your car unless you absolutely must leave the Island.

As you enter the home you are greeted with original heart pine floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and an open and airy floor plan with two seating areas and dining room. Equipped with a fully stocked kitchen for all your dining/food preparation needs. The kitchen opens up directly to the front wrap around porch and also to a lovely seating area inside. Perfect layout for friends and family to gather while the chef prepares the evening meal, while not being excluded from the conversations and happenings of the day. Off of the kitchen you will find the main living room along with a Smart Flat Screen TV for all your viewing needs. This home has Direct TV and WIFI. Dining Room is directly off and open to the main living room. Dining Table is set for six people and there's additional seating for three at the bartop in the adjacent kitchen area.

Off one side of the kitchen you will find bedroom one which has two twin trundle beds that sleep four. This room has it's own private full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom two is directly beside bedroom one, has a queen bed and it's own private bathroom with a deep soaking bath tub. This bedroom also opens out directly to the front wrap around porch. Bedroom three is located on the other side of the home and has a spacious bedroom with Queen bed and full bathroom right outside the entrance with clawfoot tub/shower combo.

Front, covered wrap around porch has a comfortable seating area with a private natural screen. The front yard is fully fenced with privacy fencing. Large, open back yard with outdoor charcoal grill and private outdoor shower with running hot/cold water. Washer/Dryer along with an additional standard full size refrigerator located directly off the house, steps away from the back deck and kitchen.

This home is ground level and perfect for those who might have difficulty navigating stairs. The maximum capacity for this house is 8 people at any time. This is not an event home. There's plenty of off street parking in the back yard. No Smoking Inside. This home only accepts non-shedding, hypoallergenic dogs with a pet fee of $125. Dog must be up to date on all vaccines and on flea control.

About Michael Ray

This home is owned by the original family who built it in the 1950's. Since that time children have grown, had children of their own who now they too have added to the family! It's been a family destination for decades. Withstood the wrath of Hurricane Hugo. Been a sanctuary in good times and bad. What a blessing to be able to share this special destination with others.

Homes have come and gone on Folly but this one has withstood the test of time. It is loved, well maintained, clean, inviting and comfortable with the charm and grace that you expect from a classic southern home. It is the perfect destination for a group of friends or family. Once you park your car you may never need to get back in it. You can easily walk to the beach, pier, shops, restaurants and local grocery "Berts". While it's in such a convenient location it is also private with a large, shaded yard out back and private front yard. With two seating areas you get to have space for those who might want to watch a game on the TV while others enjoy conversation in the adjacent sitting room or directly off kitchen on the covered porch.

What makes this house unique

Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms is always a plus! Plenty of off street parking. Easily walk to all shops, restaurants, beach.

Just a heads up to all potential guests wanting an amazing Folly Beach Home. Four brand new memory foam mattresses have been added to update the twin trundle beds! One trundle bed has been moved into an adjoining space offering a little private sleeping nook. The home has been treated by professionals to remove trapped humidity in the wood floors which has significantly reduced moisture level inside the home. This home is ready to host any group of eight looking to enjoy the Edge of America!

Best home on the beach!! Character, roomy, clean and inviting

Wonderful beach home, great drive way to park rental car in (especially when streets got crowded). The house looks small but has plenty of space and bathrooms (HUGE plus - 3 bathrooms made getting ready for a wedding a breeze). Clean, comfortable - everything you need!

The house is so close to the beach and restaurants, which was great, since the parking seemed like it was hard to come by around the beach! The house was well maintained and had everything we needed to make the weekend great!

Home Away From Home

Joe's Folly is a quaint cottage with elegant décor and all the comforts of home. It is impeccably kept, close to the beach, and a quick walk from of the main strip. Our family had an amazing time staying at Joe's Folly!! It was a peaceful location where we could relax and recharge. We had a couple of colder days but took advantage of being only a 15 minute car ride away from Charleston in order to partake in some of the great tours and experiences that this city has to offer. The owners, Michael and Dianne were quick to respond to any of our needs and they were a pleasure to deal with. We would jump at the chance to stay here again and can't wait for our next trip back.

We can't control mother nature, but luckily there is always something fun to do in Charleston, inside or out. With historic downtown Charleston just a quick 15 min. drive away, you can find a little bit of everything to keep guests of all ages entertained. This home is owned by a lovely family residing in Beaufort, SC. It is a family home, passed down from generation to generation. We have been honored with the task of helping the owners manage this rare gem. We live on Folly and are always available if our guests need us.

A very charming house

We really enjoyed our stay at Joe's Folly. A beautiful home that was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. It is surprisingly large and can absorb a lot of people. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The location is an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The house is built on a very large lot so you don't feel like your neighbors are on top of you. Michael and Dianne were a pleasure to deal with from the start.

Owner's Response: This home really does have a beautiful flow, allowing plenty of space for guests to find their own little relaxing nook. Great location. One street back from the beach, 2 blocks from restaurants, shops, 1 block from local grocery, 2 blocks from East side tennis courts, playground. You can walk anywhere you need to go or rent some wonderful beach cruisers. We have a fantastic family cleaning crew who take time and pride in helping us prepare the home inside and out for our guests. We try to make sure we are available to answer any questions you might have, or even make a recommendation or two if needed. We encourage guests to text or call anytime while here and we will do our best to get back to you promptly. We love Folly and want you to enjoy it as much as we do!

Private, ground level home on Folly Beach. NO STAIRS to navigate! Plenty of off street parking. Just one street back from the beach. 2 blocks from restaurants and shops. 1 block from local grocery. This location is prime!
