Soledad Estate Rental Photos and Description

Estate, 5 Bedrooms + Den, 5 Baths, (Sleeps 10-14)

Chalone Pinnacles House is a 40 Acre 5,000 Square foot estate surrounded by Chalone Vineyards. This is the location of many famous Chalone stock holder parties. 3 wineries are within 5 minutes and 7 more within 20.

The house is perfect for 5 couples or 3 families of four. The views are stunning from nearly every room, deck, patio, pool, and jacuzzi.

There is also spectacular hiking at Pinnacles National Monument. We are 5 minutes from the western entrance. Pinnacles is very different with unusual talus caves and streams. You will probably see California condors. 5 hikes are available. Two easy and three pretty strenuous.

Hang by the pool in the sun. No fog up here at 1500 feet. The star gazing is spectacular. We are a 15 minute drive off of Highway 101. Super quiet.

There are 8 restaurants to 10 15 minutes away that can do take out.

Tons of activities. Super Setting. Historic California Property.

I can not believe we were lucky enough to buy this beautiful estate.

HOUSE DETAILS: Three levels. Upper, Middle, and Lower

The UPPER level has 2 big bedrooms (one king one queen) with gorgeous views and very private decks with a large bathroom between them.

The MIDDLE level has the entry, large kitchen, dinning room, pantry, and 2 large bedrooms (kings) with large bath in between. These rooms all have beautiful views. The bedrooms also have nice private patios with chaise lounges. There is also a bedroom (twins) with nearby bath. This room is the only room in the house with no view. Short straw gets this room. There is a huge patio off of the dining room with lots of room and jaw dropping views.

The LOWER level has the living room, den, large bath, half bath, wine cellar, and pool/media room. There is a fold outs in the pool room and one in the den to take the sleeping capacity from 10 to 14. This level opens up to the pool, the large patio around the pool, and the jacuzzi. All with stunning views.

About Bert

My name is Bert Fornaciari. My wonderful wife Linda and my son Jack, and daughter Carol are delighted to be fortunate enough to

let you enjoy Chalone Pinnacles House. We live in Portola Valley, California

Bert purchased this estate in 2012

Why Bert chose Central Coast California

This is a one of a kind property. It was built by the CEO of Chalone Wine Group. The first high end winery to go public. The builder of this house built up Chalone Winery then expanded the legacy of great wines with the acquisitions of: Accacia, Edna Valley, Carmenet, and Canoe Ridge. Later he sold Chalone Wine Group to Diageo a public premium beverage company that also owns Tanqueray, Dom Perignon, Cuervo and many other brands

What makes this estate unique

Gorgeous Views, Amazing Stars, Great Food, Quality wine selection. Super nice staff. This is my third vrbo property and I plan to make it be very high end but at a price many can afford.

Another Lovely Weekend at the P-House

  • 5 of 5

A family tradition for us and everything was wonderful, as usual. We look forward to seeing the house and spending warm quality time every year and start looking forward to the next year's visit from the moment we leave! Thanks for a great house and backdrop for our weekends among the vineyards.

Very big house in an epic landscape

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of the house do not do justice to the grand scale of the house. Bert, the owner, was responsive, helpful, and generous. Your front yard is literally a vineyard. The views stretch out over the vineyards and to the mountains along the coast. The heated pool is a great temperature. There are two refrigerators, a six burner stove, and at least two ovens.

Amazing view, pool and game room.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time spending the weekend with friends in Bert's house. The views and pool were perfect. The game room was also wonderful. And, the kitchen was fun to cook in and easy for group cooking and cleanup- two fridges, two dishwashers, two sides of island with 6 burners in the middle. And, Bert was very accommodating with supplies. It is a great country vacation house, and it was comfortable for kids and adults. We would love to return.

Great Family Gathering

  • 4 of 5

A very unique and special rental property. Isoiated, but with plenty for everyone of every age to do. Quiet and peacful. We particularly liked our early morning coffee on the deck overlooking the vineyards and the Valley. Be aware this is a four level house--lots of stairs.

Tranquility Extraordinaire!

  • 5 of 5

My entire family of 3 daughters, 5 grandsons and a granddaughter filled this home perfectly. Each of the adults had their own private room with a private patio, the two teens had the room with two beds and the younger ones shared the smaller two bunkbed room. The home has such beautiful views of the vineyards and the sunsets were wonderful from the house and especially from the top of the property. The gourmet kitchen and allowed for my daughters to prepare some outstanding meals for us all that we barely left the house at all! The downstairs game room with pool table was the favorite hangout for the kids and the adults could relax in one of the other living rooms. The pool area was clean and the heavy canvas electric cover for the pool made it so much safer for the kids. We were able to adjust the temperature of the water to our liking and were very happy with the response we got from the staff on any questions or issues we had. We played in the pool every single day for most of the day! It's big enough to swim laps or have races, deep enough for a dive-in and shallow enough for volleyball tourneys. We hiked every evening through the trails over the 40 acres and got quite a workout going up and down the hills. If you want privacy and comfort this is the place to stay. Bert, the property manager answered every question via text or phone calls quickly and was very helpful. The property really is only a couple miles from the entrance to the Pinnacles and we did finally leave the house long enough for a short 2/5 mile hike to the Balconies Cliffs and Caves. The kids had so much fun in those caves! It was well worth the fairly easy hike up the hill. I left something behind and they were quick to find it and send it off to me. I will definitely go back and may plan a retreat with my girlfriends there! I wish I could post videos here, I'd show you all the fun!
