We strive to insure that the rental stays in top condition.
Most guests describe site as cozy, convenient, private, with lovely tropical ambience. The site provides all the amenities needed, esp for the kitchen. Patio offers barbecue grill & table for outside eating. Freeways 5, 94, 163, 15 are close by & easy to access. Grocery store, bakery, & eating sites within walking distance such as great Pizza Parlor, a local beer brew & tapas bar, Karatoka coffee spot. Golden Hill park which is 2 blocks away offers a great walking roundabout & city views. Balboa Golf Course is 3 blocks away & Zoo is 3 min away by car as is Balboa Park. Bus stops out front takes one to Gaslamp & back. It is so central to all.
This is our second time staying here and we loved it as much as the first time. It is in the convenient and safe Golden Hill neighborhood. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting San Diego.
We had a lovely time - the place is in a nice location, close to downtown and the park, and it has everything you need.
I spent 3 nights in this cutie and liked it. It was in the perfect spot for all my activities: Balboa Park and Coronado. The first day I was in La Jolla, which was a bit of a hike but no big deal. The apartment comes with access to a private garage, however, heed the owners' warning that the garage is meant for a small car. I had a Volkswagen Jetta as my rental and it fit, but nothing bigger than that. If you are a person that needs some yoga to work out the kinks of travelling, Ginseng Yoga is wonderful an less than a 10 minute drive from the apartment. Wifi is strong and bandwidth is plenty to stream over.
The only heads up that I would give regarding the accommodations is the shower. I'm 5'8" and fit ok under the shower head, however, if you are any taller than that, you might need to duck down to get in the water. The head is maybe set at about 5'10".
Owners were kind and professional. I would absolutely rent from them again.
We enjoyed this property and its nice patios. Our 20 month old daughter had fun smelling the flowers. We also liked that it was dog friendly, even though our little dog didn't quite adjust well and the neighbor definitely let know when we got back. (Sorry!) It has a doggy door if you are comfortable with letting your dog out into an enclosed space while you're gone. Ours would have just been an even more nervous wreck with the other little dog running along side the other side of the fence.
Really nice that it had a garage and so many places within walking distance, including the dog friendly coffee shop, 15 minutes to Sea World or the beach.
The owners were nice, gave clear instructions, left a nice book of local places and didn't bother us during our short stay.
Definitely recommend it again! :-)
We came to San Diego for a wedding and my family wanted to stay somewhere that can fit our big family. The cottages where perfect place to stay we all had our own privacy but also had the courtyard patio to hang out. No need to drive Uber is so cheap and fast. We will definitely stay here again when the SF Giants come to town. The owners are the greatest people
The apartment was perfect for my fiancé and I, just a few minutes from down and great restaurants especially loved Turf Supper Club right around the corner. Apartments fully stocked I was able to hit the pier and grab some fresh sea food off the boats and cook a full sea food buffet. The bed was extremely comfortable, the only con was the garage was a little small. I have a Durango and with some skill I could park in it so if you have a bigger vehicle it won't fit! Other than that 1 small thing it was perfect and the garage parking was a serious luxury because parking anywhere in San Diego is a nightmare!
Retired professor. We travel internationally & have two Bichon's. Love to walk on the waterfront and eat the best fresh fish at Mitch's Seafood which is located at the Sport fishing landing. Balboa Park & the Zoo are favorites; Park has the Prado Restaurant which has great happy hour drinks & food; Zoo has Albert's Tree Restaurant which many do not know about; it is breezy & has an African motif.
