This property is located west of Coast Hwy, and thus an easy 5 block walk to the beach, or to the many different restaurants and shops in the area . Located in the quiet neighborhood of South Oceanside, with a walkability rating of 74, it has a private backyard with a sitting area, dinning table for 6, and is perfectly situated between the Village of Carlsbad and the busy Oceanside pier area.

Built by a local builder in 2010 for himself to live in, it has many upgrades such as 10 foot ceilings, custom solid wood doors, and a beautifully tiled bathroom. With 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, it has an open floor plan and is just under 1000 sqft. In your dedicated garage parking spot, you will have 4 beach bikes, 4 beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and even beach toys for the kids. I can even get a smaller bike for a child and a pack-in-play/booster seat, if you let me know in advance.

There is a private landscaped backyard with a Weber barbecue, table with seating for six and even a separate sitting area.

The unit is not appointed with give aways from family members, but has newly purchased items such as upscale queen mattresses, a new very comfortable Crate and Barrel couch, and new TVs in all rooms including a 55" LCD TV in the main room including DVR recording capability. High speed wireless WIFI is also provided.

Located under 1 mile from two main highways (Hwy 5 and Hwy 78) , it is easy to visit family and friends anywhere in the area.

Legoland Amusement Park (10 miles), shopping malls (5 miles), biking, sport fishing, and golfing. Sea World (40 miles), the San Diego Zoo (45 miles), the San Diego Wild Animal Park (35 miles), and numerous other San Diego spots are a short drive or train ride away. Disneyland (60 miles) and Knott's Berry Farm (66 miles) are popular destinations to the north.

-NO SMOKING anywhere on property.

-Please get prior approval in writing from me if you are under 25 years old.

-No events are parties.

-This is a quiet neighborhood, please be respectful of others after 10pm.

-Must clean all dishes and throw out all trash when you leave.

-If there are any issues, please let me know ASAP..and I will try to fix.

-Only one well behaved dog is allowed without prior approval.

Please be aware that the train in Oceanside runs from 200ft to 400 ft along the road closest to the ocean. So if you want to be close to the ocean, you will hear some train noise. This unit is located 320 ft from the tracks, and you can see from the reviews it has not been a problem. But I want to make sure everyone is aware.

Just 1 mile from Highways 5 and 78, it is easy to go anywhere. The beach and eating places are just a few blocks away, Legoland is 10 minutes away, while Seaworld, Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, and the Wild Animal park are all about 45 min from the unit. Bikes, boogie boards, beach chairs, and umbrella are all located in the garage. One spot is also provided for your car.

Wonderful place

This was our first time staying in the house and we absolutely loved it. The place was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the appliance. This place has a washer and dryer, very convenient when traveling with kids. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends. Definitely would stay here in the future.

Very clean unit and close to the beach!

Warren is awesome! He loaned us 4 bikes for our entire stay and we had access to beach chairs and an umbrella! We traveled with two teens and two Goldens and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Very homey and relaxing!

Loved staying here! Very relaxing and comfortable. I loved that there was a yard for my dog to play in, and my daughter enjoyed it as well. Its close to pretty much everything! And the owner was very responsive, and helpful when i had questions! We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Oceanside/Carlsbadl vacation rental

We absolutely loved our stay here. We have enjoyed several rentals in the area over recent years -- in Encinitas, Leucadia, Oceanside -- and this may be our favorite yet. Warren clearly enjoys being a host; he was very responsive pre-booking as well as just before check-in. He was very quick to respond to the few questions we had after we checked in. We always felt Warren was accessible although we only saw him once when he came to drop off a kid's bike for us.

The condo is really exactly as portrayed in the photos and in the description. The kitchenette was plenty functional for our family of 3, and we also enjoyed grilling out a couple of nights. The backyard is fantastic with plenty of seating. I took a quick peek at the larger unit upstairs and can see the 2 units being great for a family get-together -- maybe one day!

Parking is easy with the dedicated garage spot as well as the spot outside the garage. Keyless doors make for easy check-in and is just generally convenient. Lastly, in the reviews people seem to make a big deal of the train that goes by. It really is not bothersome, and actually we kind of like it. It lends a Wild, Wild West feeling to the place. Thanks, Warren!

Cancellation Policy:
* Before 30 days of arrival date: Full refund minus $50 fee.

If you do cancel within 30 days of arrival I do try to rent out the period cancelled and will send you back any funds received up to the amount you paid. No promises, but try to let me know ASAP so I can try to re-rent.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
