Why Todd and Susan Miller chose Grand Marais
We chose this location because it is very special. We are lifelong Miinnesotans and have been passing through Grand Marais our whole lives. We wanted a home on the North Shore, and we believe that Grand Marais is the jewel of the North Shore. Within Grand Marais we wanted to be close to the action and the water. Although this is a very small town, it has big shoulders when it comes to culture and beauty. We belive our specific location is magical because the big lake cools us in summer and warms us in winter. We never get tired of the many moods of Lake Superior and enjoy watching the lake from this property.
What makes this Cabin unique
Covid-19 requirements. All guests must agree. We are happy to accept your reservation. We have adopted a protocol that protects both you and our cleaners from COVID-19. And most importantly, we insist that you join us in protecting our aging resident population in Grand Marais. We have a disproportionately older population of elderly here and our community is very firm about refusing guests who do not take the need for social distancing as seriously as everyone here does. While in Grand Maris you MUST maintain 6 feet of distance at all times with anyone outside of your family group. If you are unable to do so you must take action to resolve the situation. Some hiking trails and sidewalks can be tight and if you can't maintain 6' feet of distance please sort it out before it is a problem. We strongly recommend wearing masks in public. Please respect our sensitivities up here. At the time of writing this we have NO cases of Covid-19 in our county. Our simple clinic can not handle any cases of Covid, we have no ventilators and no ICU. Your actions will help ensure that we maintain our good health and protect our vulnerable population. If guests are flaunting our requirements we will likely be shut down by area authorities or choose to shut down ourselves. So please be excellent ambassadors for all visitors to Grand Marais. 1) Are any in your group experiencing any signs of illness such as coughing, aches, or fever? We can not accept any guests with these symptoms. Please respond that all are healthy. 2) If any in your group have been diagnosed with Covid-19 or suspect that you may have had undiagnosed Covid -19 in the last two weeks we can not host you. Very nice place
Very charming place with plenty of room. A close drive to an awesome state park. (Judge magney or something similar) Awesome time ☺️
Fabulous Get-Away Destination
My two adult children and I enjoyed three nights at The Fisherman's Cabin in Grand Marais. We loved the well-equipped kitchen, the spacious family room with gas stove and the extra long dining table. We had room to set up a game on one end and eat meals at the other end. The beds were comfy and the linens were lovely. The property is less than a block from the harbor walk and we enjoyed many strolls along the shores of Lake Superior. The property is also within easy walking distance of Voyageur Brewing and all the cute shops and restaurants in downtown Grand Marias. We hope to stay here again; it was perfect.
Great Family Time
Sweet place... Plenty of room for gathering to play games, visit, and enjoy the town.
Cozy place for a family getaway
My family loved staying here! The location is great - very close to downtown. The long table was great for hanging out and playing games. The kitchen is well equipped and has a great layout so that it never felt cramped if there was more than one person in the kitchen. The living room was plenty big for our family to hang out and watch movies. Highly recommended! We will definitely be returning here!
We are only a stone's throw from the harbor of Grand Marais. We are uniquely situated to be in the heart of town without being on a busy street. The lake keeps us cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It really is a charmed location.
