Very nice property.

  • 4 of 5

The upstairs bedroom bed is very comfortable and the a/c unit kept the room very comfortable.

The living room was very small but the long dining table made up for it. I would recommend this property to future renters.

New Smyrna Beach Florida

Needs Updating - but we had a blast anyways!

  • 4 of 5

Cabin is in a beautiful location, just needs some updating and TLC (Main deck, Appliances and Kitchen utensils) We had a very good time, this cabin can accommodate a lot of people although our group was not that big, the location IS PRIME, so close to Helen and all attractions, would definitely rent it again.

only advise is be careful there is a family of yellow jacket bees living in the front on the house and 3 of our family members got stung- Ouch!

Clean, but dated cabin. Plenty of space to sleep for large group

  • 3 of 5

The home was clean, but bathrooms were very dated. The home was sufficient for what our group needed it for, somewhere to sleep during a wedding weekend. Our main complaint, as a group, was the temperature in the house. It was very warm and the digital Nest thermostat is locked with a code not provided by the owner upon check in. When we called the owner to ask for the air to be turned down a couple of degrees, he refused and suggested we instead turn on the attic fan and open some windows to cool it off. So needless to say the home was very warm and humid all weekend as our only option to cool the home at night was to open windows and let the attic fan bring cooler outside air into the home, since the thermostat was locked.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your your stay, and valuable feedback. The bathrooms are not modern, but they are as shown in photos, and the work well. Some people like the rustic look, and some don't. The cooling of this big house in hottest days was discussed. The thermostat can go down to 72 F, and I am sorry if this is too high of a temperature to stay in the cabin, when outside can be over 90 F. There were never any suggestion of opening the windows when it is hot and humid outside, but I did suggest using the attic fan to pull the warm air up. The reason for limiting the thermostat to 72F is because there has been guests who have turned the AC down to low 60:s and the unit would then run all the time and has a risk of getting the coil frozen and damaging the unit. Thank you again for your feedback, and we will take it into consideration, and learn from it. Heikki
