The tennis courts and the basketball and volleyball areas are very close, as is the playground. The beach is a block and a half away. Erosion has made a difference in the size of the beach. 2 bedrooms are on the first floor and 3 on the second floor. The large living room allows for lots of fun. About Anne Boyd
This home was purchased because so many in the family loved to golf. If they were not playing, they liked to watch their friends play. Many in the family had their first lessons from Grandpa. Each had a turn at being his caddy. Even those who did not relish the golfing as much -- or were not as skilled at the sport -- loved the area and all that it offers. Bikers loved the bike trails & the dunes. All love the fun in the lake.
Anne Boyd purchased this House in 1977
Why Anne Boyd chose New Buffalo
What more could you ask for? Lots of room for lots of fun.....lots of activities abound. Want more of the city life -- Michigan City offers sooo much. The small town vibe is very apparent in New Buffalo. Many special weekend events happen! Just enjoy it all! Casinos are close if Lady Luck is calling!
What makes this House unique
Select your style, you can find it here or nearby. Golf -- here & nearby. Tennis -- right here. Teaching little ones to be adventurous, both on the playground & the beach! Jogging on the duneland roads is quite a workout. Or check out the bike trails -- or the Biking Museum. Don't forget to pick the mulberries from the tree by the deck or the blueberries from the nearby farms. But the local peaches are probably my very favorite thing to consume -- even better than chocolate!

The positives: Located in Grand Beach which is nice area. Centrally located to Michigan City and New Buffalo. The house was large with tons of sleeping area. They took dogs and had a fenced in yard.
Negatives: All but one beach was closed due to erosion. The open beach was too small and rocky, so instead of walking to a beach, which is how it's described, we had to drive to all beaches. The house is in dire need of updating and repair work. Beds were uncomfortable and furniture that was there needed cleaning. Only one small TV which wasn't good with teenagers. Large mulberry tree in front yard dropped mulberries on front porch and yard so you couldn't really enjoy the outdoor area. The house was carpeted throughout in a outdated type carpet and really was inappropriate for a lake house, as it all smelled musty and damp. Definitely not our best vacation. Though the owner was nice and sorry we were disappointed, we left 3 days early but didn't receive a refund. They didn't have to refund us but it would have helped since this was our one vacation for the year and we were too uncomfortable to stay the whole time in the house. Cannot recommend this house for anyone.
I am sincerely sorry that you had such an undesirable
stay at our home. The lake is unusually high this year & has caused much erosion. My family has enjoyed the lake but not especially the small rocky shore.
As to our home, it is not modern. The pictures reflect that. The tv is smaller but we have wireless wifi.
We have updated wiring, plumbing, smoke detectors & the carpet cleaners serviced our place 3 days before entry.
great value for a large family
We have stayed at this home for past few summers and find it fit our family needs perfectly. It is large home situated in a great location in Grand Beach. Lots of bedrooms and pet friendly.
My family and friends have used to this house for several years. The porch is great for relaxing, a quick walk to the beach or park. Lots to do in the area. Very relaxing.
We are pleased you enjoyed the lifeguarded beach and the playground so very close by. As bikers the dunes are great fun & we know you are glad you brought your bikes. As you said, the mature trees all around the home, it was like being in a hugh tree house.
We had a lovely time at this vintage home with extended family. There was plenty of room for everyone. Space for people of all ages to play, craft, visit, and have large family meals in the well stocked kitchen and dining room. Everyone loved the area and the beach is fantastic.
