My family purchased this home in order to provide more space for the family as it grew. (The home next door has been in the family for years.) Folks learned to golf, swim & appreciate each other while maturing here.
The Owner purchased this house in 1975
This village of Grand Beach offers a quiet spirit in a hectic world. Select your recreation -- or decide to relax & soak up the delights. The spacious woodsy yard offers a relaxed vista. Whatever your choice, do not miss seeing the ever-changing sunsets over the Chicago skyline.
The country feel of this summer property is a reminder of a less harried time. The large deck is super for enjoying the woodsy hugh side yard. Watching the deer munching on the mulberries was a surprise.
Location, location, location. We (5 adults, 1 infant) stayed here over the Labor Day holiday. It was everything we expected and more. This property is located within the village of Grand Beach which has a lot to offer including golf (9 holes), tennis, basketball, playground and more. The property is a 1 minute walk to the beach, 8 minute walk to tennis, basketball, playground and a 10 minute walk to golf. The property is only 4 miles from downtown New Buffalo where most of the nearby restaurants are located and 9 miles from the Michigan City outlet mall which convenient during a rainy day. We were concerned that the house did not come with A/C but it had plenty of windows in all rooms and the owner supplied a lot of fans so it never was an issue. The property itself, although vintage had everything you would need for a beach vacation. Plenty of comfortable seating throughout multiple rooms for both lounging and dining. All guests were very satisfied with the mattresses including the futon. The spacious deck and large yard were an added bonus. The yard is fenced which was great since we brought our dog. Everything noted on the rental description online were included/available at the property. The charcoal grill appeared to be small but were we able to fit everything on it when we grilled. We would definitely stay here again or at the property next door which has the same owner and we received a tour of while checking out. The owner was very responsive during the booking process and called us during our stay to see if we needed anything which was appreciated.
We've used this house for a vacation for several years. Across the street from the beach, a quick walk to the playground, the patio is great for catching up with friends.
2 Casinos nearby. Many fruit & vegetable farms nearby, unique shops and festivals in New Buffalo (3 mi.), relax on the supersized deck & enjoy the birds, butterflies & wildlife. Property # 405229 is next door. Using both suitable for multi-family gatherings. Local wineries and wine tours in area also.
