Perfect house for us!

  • 5 of 5

What a great house for our family to enjoy a long weekend at the lake. There were seven of us, 18yrs and older, (the house could have slept at least 3 or more people) so there was plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables as well as the comfortable leather sectional in the basement while watching a movie. We probably spent most of our time however on the dock. It was perfect with the large table and umbrella and still room to lay out in the sun. We brought floats, music, snacks and beverages down there and enjoyed the lake views, etc. The hammock was nice too. The owners (John and Colleen) were great to work with. They gave us so much information about arriving, departing and local restaurants etc via email. And they were so helpful if we had a question once we arrived - with such a quick response!

We rented jet skis one day and a ski boat the next from Young Harris Water Sports (highly recommend them too). A wonderful family weekend overall.

We will definitely do this again!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was a great home for our family vacation. We had three couples and three small children. John and Colleen were always available and responsive with any questions. We cooked most of our evening meals on the outdoor grill except we took the boat to a BBQ place on the lake one night and we brought in pizza on the last night. We rented a boat for the week and kept it tied up at our dock. We also golfed a few days - this home is not in Reynolds so we golfed at Harbor Club and The Creek at Hard Labor.

PERFECT.

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a home close to ATL that would comfortably fit the ten of us that also had a pool/lake/hot tub. We are ten 30-something women friends who live around the country and ATL was the easiest/cheapest zika-free location to fly in to.

We are so happy we chose this home. It was beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The owner contacted us a few days before our stay to let us know that the hot tub was broken and may not be fixed in time for our stay. Colleen was incredibly gracious and understanding and even offered for us to cancel our stay with no charge. Let me just say we are so glad we didn't cancel. There is so much to do at this house that the hot tub was not even missed. We lounged on the dock and in the lake, we rented jet skis from Oconee Wild Water Sports (awesome), a few of us had massages at the Ritz, we built a fire one night, we watched a movie, we cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and there are plenty of pots and pans and Tupperware to cook for 10. The grill is awesome - very hot and large, we cooked two big flank steaks and a bunch of veggies one night. The covered deck with ceiling fans was perfect and we ate all our meals out on the deck.

There are so many beds! And they are so comfortable!

I don't know what else to say but that this house is just perfect. Thank you, Colleen, we loved your home and had an incredible and relaxing weekend!!

Great family spot to ring in the New Year!!

  • 4 of 5

We so enjoyed our time at the Scott's beautiful home on the lake! The weather didn't cooperate - but it didn't damper our fun! The home easily housed 2 families with 6 kids total (ages 9-15) - and kept everyone entertained! The downstairs was perfect with a pool table, ping pong, sectional with big screen TV - and a hot tub! Lots of great football to watch - and games to play amongst ourselves. There was a nice open kitchen upstairs with seating area/TV as well. The Ritz was a 10 minute drive away - an easy outing for ice skating, dining, etc. one day. We would definitely recommend this home - and hope to come back in warmer weather when we can enjoy the lake!

Wonderful 18th birthday weekend.

  • 5 of 5

We had 5 (three older, two younger) adults and three teenagers stay in this home for my daughter's 18th birthday. The house is clean and the beds comfortable. Our favorites were the ping pong table (there is also a pool table), the canoes, the fire pit, and the dock. It was the last weekend in October and the weather was warm during the day and cool at night. Colleen was responsive to our questions and very accommodating. This home is such a lovely setting that my older daughter would consider it for her wedding. There is plenty of room in the house for everyone to spread out and not feel crowded. We took a long walk through the neighborhood and it was peaceful and beautiful. We ate at El Agave (little hole in the wall restaurant with excellent food and drinks) and at Bone Island Grill (OK) while there. Both restaurants were within 5 miles. There is also a nice Publix grocery store nearby. We had a jet ski and everyone took turns touring the gorgeous homes along the lake. Next time we will stay longer and rent a pontoon boat as there will definitely be a next time!

Wonderful house for our yearly lake get-away with all our family!

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for my husband and myself and our children and grandchildren! We do a lake trip once a year with our children and grandchildren. We had never been to Lake Oconee before but turned out to be a wonderful decision. And this house was absolutely ideal! We all had our separate bedrooms and baths! We loved the secluded masters suite! The kids loved the ping pong table and pool table and the downstairs area in general. Most comfortable couches and recliners ever! Was great having two nice TV's for a variety of shows. And the kitchen was very well equipped. We only had one problem. There are no working ice makers in the house, even though you have two large refrigerators (which was really great). So we had to make trips to the store several times for ice. And one day we had water problems, but that was the entire neighborhood. So we were without water for quite a while! But not the fault of the owners. It is in a quite cove on the lake so we didn't see much coming and going. We so enjoyed the kayaks and canoes! And having the closet full of life vests (every size imaginable) was really nice!!! All in all, it was a very memorable time! The house was absolutely perfect, except for the ice issue!
