Our 4th floor condo with private balcony offers one of the best Sunset and Rock Harbor views of all Tower units! Recently remodeled with tasteful decor.

***If you plan to bring a boat, you are required to provide proof of liability insurance in the amount of $300,000 in order to bring your boat into our neighborhood / marina. There is space to keep your boat on a trailer, however during some peak holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th and Lobster Mini Season) it can get crowded and trailer space becomes very limited. So a slip via the dock master would be best. please call us and we can help arrange, thanks***

1388 square feet of living space in an open floor plan all on one level. master bedroom with a Queen Cheery Wood Sleigh Bed and Day Bed with 2 brand new twin beds. Guest Bedroom with a With Wicker Queen Bed and a twin Bunk with 2 twin beds. Both bedrooms have full bathrooms Fully air conditioned (brand new in 2009 and COLD) and equipped with all necessary kitchen and dining items, including brand new bed and bath linens. The living room features new furniture, a wide screen LCD satellite TV, a Sony 5 DVD / CD Stereo system. Dining area features new dining room set and chandelier. Condo also has a separate, private laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. Brand new electric Hot water on demand Unit, and digital TV service just installed.

Kawama Yacht Club is set on an unspoiled peninsula between the virgin habit of a bird sanctuary to the south and the beautifully preserved John Pennekamp Marine Coral Reef State Park to the north. Dolphins can often be seen from the shore and if you are lucky you may glimpse the beautiful but endangered Manatee.

Kawama Yacht Club features two South Seas Style beach areas within a 2 minute stroll from the unit. These have thatched palm Tiki shelters and tables, plentiful seating and barbecue's.

Relax in either of two heated in-ground tiled pools including a brand new pool (2007) shaped like a Coco-de-Mer for the exclusive use of Tower residents and guests which is just steps from the unit.

Spend time at the large palm fringed saltwater swimming lagoon which is approximately 1000 feet long and incorporates swimming platforms and a sand beach for the children. This lake is stocked with colorful tropical fish such as Parrot Fish, Sargent Majors, small Tarpon and Barracuda to feed and snorkel with. For divers, this is also a perfect place to check new gear before heading out to the ocean.

Enjoy a tennis match on one of two floodlit hard tennis courts. Experience sensational sunsets from our 400’ esplanade which also offers one of many fishing opportunities from the point. We Chose our condo unit in Kawama after looking at many other units up and down the Keys because:

1.) View - Take a look at the sunset pictures, look at every Bar and Restaurant in the keys, they are always full during a nice sunset, everyone loves the sunsets.

2.) Size - This units is double the size of almost every other 2 Bedroom we looked at.

3.) Location - Oceanfront, you come to the keys for the water, our resort offers a lot of water, beach, jetty, marina, lagoon, pools..

4.) Amenities - Our property has every amenity you will need and just a few blocks from our guard gate you have a CVS, Walgreens, Bank of America, Starbucks, Countless Restaurants, Parks, on and on..

Everything is here for you, just bring your flip-flops, we will make it easy for you as we have been coming to the Keys for years and know what you need to have a good time, and its here already.

second time staying at this unit however, second time experience was not so pleasant

Hi, I have stayed at this unit two yrs ago and have stayed in the towers now for five years in general with no issues. The towers themselves are quiet and are close to a lot of stuff. This unit is okay, nothing fancy and doesn't have alot of fancy decor which is why we decided to stay there again. I have a special needs child with Autism. This year we have added her service dog to our family. I did ask if this was going to be okay prior to reserving and they agreed it was okay. Well after checkout which is at ten, but cleaning lady came around 9 wanting to start, I get an email stating that how rude I was for bringing a dog and that i will not be getting my deposit back. I have yet to see my deposit back over the fact I had a service dog in their house even though it was approved and the cleaning lady had to vacuum their area rug. There was no physical damage to the unit and it came down to dog hair on an area rug and they had to vacuum. I also got blamed for eating in beds because there were crumbs in them which we never do. That makes me question how clean their house really is. Just beware if you stay here that you may not get your deposit back if they have to "clean".

I would reccommend the towers but not this unit!

Owner's Response: Amy, In 5 years we have never had a 1 star review, apparently this was a bad situation for everyone involved, as a father of a special needs child I let my personal feeling get in the way of a business decision. Yes there was additional cleaning that was needed and yes there were pet stains left behind. All of this said we didn’t charge any additional fees or deposits for said pet, and you were Refunded your full deposit. Kawama405

Clean and well supplied. Nice location and very quiet.

Our overall experience was good. We needed to purchase hand soap for the sinks, and basic items like this. The water pressure is not the best, but it is liveable. The space is nice and the condo was very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice condo in the keys

The property and condo were nice. It was hidden back away from the main road and nicely secluded. We had access to the ocean to go snorkeling, although no real beach there. The pool we were allowed to use was nice and right behind the condo. We also used the tennis courts that were in good shape. The only real complaint was that you needed a key to get into the pool, the tennis courts, and the elevator to get to our condo. The place had a 24 hour gate to get in so not sure why the high security. Our condo owner also said there were 2 bikes, but those were not found. Loved the snorkeling trip we took at John Pennekamp State Park that was only 4 miles away.

Great place, couldn't ask for more

The condo was just as described. All the amenities & location were great. We rented a vehicle and traveled up & down the keys for a week. The condo was very comfortable & felt like home. The locals were very nice. It served as a good home base for my family to check out the area. It would also be a great place to just lay low and relax. I would recommend a stay here.

Tower living at Kawama Yacht Club

The Kawama Yacht Club is a wonderful property with a nice beach, lagoon, tennis courts and multiple pools. The 'point' is a great place to watch the sunset, include as a destination in your daily walk, or to kayak around. The Tower has its own pool but since it wasn't heated as well as the 'public' pool we found ourselves walking the distance each day to the 'warm' pool by the lagoon.

The bad thing about the property is none of the pools have restroom facilities. That means a trip back/forth to the room each time facilities are needed. A key is also needed to get in the elevator, stairwell and in/out of the Tower Pool. This means 4 people have 2 keys to share and this can cause problems. Water pressure in our unit was horrible, I am not sure if that is the case for all the units or just ours. Washing and conditioning hair (of any length) was difficult.

Our room in the Tower just did not feel clean. When we arrived, there was a pile of sheets on the floor, none of the floors had been swept, mopped or vacuumed. It was 3 days later when we found the wet (but clean) bathroom floor mats in the washing machine. Both bathtubs had mold in the grout and caulk, kitchen cabinets had lots of sawdust and just felt grimy. Half the lights in the kitchen didnt work (and one would randomly turn off and back on. The headboard was dusty and it felt like baseboards and corners of the rooms (or behind flower pots, tables) had not been vacuumed for a very long time. The tvs in the bedrooms did not work. The good thing is the air conditioner worked well, our unit had its own wi-fi and the windows/glass doors shut tight and blocked out all outside noise.

We were supposed to have 2 bikes to at our disposal, but we could only locate one in the rack. That one wasn't able to be used as the brakes were frozen into place.

The Tower itself is very quiet and the grounds are well maintained. The pool, although chilly, is beautiful and a great place to sit and soak up the sun while reading a book.

I would recommend the Kawama Yacht Club to friends and family. The people who stay and live there are very friendly, let you pet their dogs, and share in their daily activites (pickle ball, sunset trips to the point, appetizers etc.)

Nice condo in a great location!

We spent three weeks in Key Largo, January into February and used this spacious and well maintained condo as home base. The condo is in the tower building in the Kawama Yacht club. Being in the tower building has it's pros and cons:

Pros- excellent security both in the yacht club with security guard at entrance and a elevator key required to access all floors in the tower building. The condo located on the forth floor also provided complete privacy, never had to draw a curtain. In addition there were great views to the northwest and the sunsets were a real bonus.

Cons- having to use an elevator made bringing in groceries a bit of a chore. If you intend on driving to Key Largo a small folding cart would come in handy. There is a grocery cart in the laundry room but it was filled with life preservers for use with the kayaks. Also being on the forth floor it was a hike to all the BBQ locations so cooking out was not convenient.

Throughout our stay all the people we met could not have been nicer, one of the permanent residents was very helpful when we arrived, he helped to the unit with all our bags and groceries. The yacht club is a great place to get exercise, with numerous paths around the lagoon and out to the breakwater.

As far as the area is concerned, Key Largo is the best as far as we're concerned, there is so much going on in the area and being Route 1 is a divided multi-lane road in Key Largo, the traffic always moves smoothly, which is not always the case further south heading to Key West.

The condo owners were kind enough to provide a nice guide for the area which really helps if it's your first time visiting. As for us this was our third time in Key Largo, and it was fun to visit some of our favorite places. Here we're our favorites:

Skippers Dockside- only minutes from the condo, only opened in the past year (used to be Coconuts) , their chef is great and the food excellent.

Snook's Bayside- also close to the condo, just across Rt1, great sunsets.

Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill- a few miles north of the condo, Tuesday night they have great entertainment and a magic show, a fun night.

One new adventure we tried this time was a ride down to Islamorada and lunch at Robbies along with feeding the tarpon. Both grownups and kids get a kick out of feeding the fish, word of caution, keep an eye on the pelicans.

So all in all we had an excellent stay and highly recommend this condo for your stay in Key largo
