Our family has vacationed in South Fork for the last 10 years! We have so many great memories that we would love to share with you. Come and visit with YOUR family and make memories of your own. We have a list available of the things we love to do while visiting and would love to share that with you and see what new adventures await you.
Karen Markum purchased this cabin in 2002
South Fork is located in the perfect spot for Skiing, Snowmobiling, Fly Fishing, World Class Golfing at the Rio Grande Club, Hot Springs, Live Theatre, etc. You can go to Pagosa Springs for the day, experience the live theatre, museums and river rafting in Creede which is only 20 minutes away.
Watch the sunrise from the front porch while sipping on your fresh cup of coffee. Eat your breakfast outside while listening to hummingbirds and watching for deer in the front yard.
Lovely cabin up in the mountains in South Fork. There are numerous things to see within 30min to 1 hour drive, such as waterfalls, old mines, hot springs, and beautiful mountainous scenery all around. We had a great time and even had time to relax at the cabin!
We loved our stay at the cabin, it was in a great location had amazing views and is very easy to find, also it was very clean and very well kept. Karen was very responsive when we had questions and very friendly! Everything we needed to know about the cabin was made available on the home away app. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in or near the South Fork area. We visited all the surround towns and had a great time, we will definitely keep Karen's cabin in mind for our next trip back this way!
We enjoyed our stay at the Markum cabin! It had many amenities (the washer and dryer is a nice bonus), and it was a comfortable and quiet place to stay. The front porch was my favorite spot, where I watched sunrises, sunsets and lots of birds. The night sky is STUNNING -- it's a star-gazers delight!
We have stayed in many rental cabins for vacations and I must say, this was my favorite! It was supplied with everything needed for a great family vacation! Loved watching our resident rabbits, chipmunks and hummingbirds! Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!

This place is great! Such a great location for so many things. Only a few miles from Wolf creek pass, Creede and lake city are just a short drive as well. The cabin is VERY well stocked, had everything we needed and much more! Very comfy cabin with great heat for those cold nights. The beds were awesome! We sleep on a tempurpedic at home and usually have a hard time sleeping away from home, but these beds were great.
Very quiet and well furnished. We enjoyed it very much although you have to drive to any services like food, grocery, golf, fishing etc....
