Overview - Come stay in our newly built, family-friendly, urban retreat! We are located within three minutes walking of major downtown/UT bus and train lines, three minutes walking from North Lamar restaurants and coffee shops, and 12 minutes driving from downtown.
*Note for potential SXSW guests: The last stop on the train (Crestview Station being a 3 min walk from the home) is the convention center, where SXSW Interactive takes place. Avoid the car traffic and parking and take the train!

Kevin is from the Midwest, and Mindy is a native Texan who was nomadic for about ten years before returning back here to her roots. We love to cook, host friends and family, and be outside. Kevin and Mindy have two very dynamic toddlers.

Our family has traveled and lived in several places around America, Europe, and Asia. The most consistent gift we had in each of these places was having a great place to return, gather, and rest. We set up our home so that it might be this kind of place for you and your group. Our home is in a convenient location off a main street in Austin, yet in a quiet development. The home is furnished in a way that is meant for people to live and rest in it!
We are a 5 minute walk from the train and several main bus lines. If you are coming in town for a big event and do not want to deal with the traffic, the ample public transportation options will be your ideal friend during your stay! Any event at the convention center (i.e., SXSW Tech), UT, or a desire to get to any restaurant district makes this place a tourist's dream.
What a great time my friends and I had. We had an awesome experience in Austin and Mindy was so quick to reply with our reservation. There is no reason for us to look for another location on our next stay in Austin. Thank you!
This home is in a darling quiet neighborhood. We liked the location as well. If you have a bunch of TV watchers there is only one, and a small couch but it's also good to have some quiet time with your family or friends here. Over all a good place to stay, it is a very kid friendly family friendly neighborhood, perfect for skate boards bikes and walking.
This home was beautiful, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is nice and newly developed. The check in and check out processes were easy. All in all, a great stay.
Everything was clean and spotless when we arrived, and all amenities were provided as listed, plus a few more not on the list that were helpful to our stay. The air conditioning worked well in the 100 degree heat! Excellent location in north Austin and was very convenient to Lamar St., shopping and major highways. The neighborhood is new and quiet with some nice park areas to the south. Plenty of parking off-street. I highly recommend this!
We totally enjoyed the house. The owner was so easy to deal with. It pretty much had everything that we needed and the location was very close to most things. We went to Austin for my son's graduation and the house was very close to the campus. I would stay there again as needed. The reason I did not put a 5 stars was because there was no TV in the living room, but that was just my personal preference. Plus there were some pet hair leftover on the carpet that caused me to sneeze a few time, again personal allergy problem, but no biggie. Everything else was very clean and well designed.
I was hoping for comfortable accommodations in a newer development that would provide easy access to major Austin roads and the downtown area. This location exceeded my logistic expectations, both with its location at the junction of 183 and N. Lamar and by being within easy walking distance of the Crestview MetroRail station. Anyone familiar with Austin should appreciate such access to public transportation.
The property itself, which has all up-to-date features, was comfortably and functionally well furnished and, most importantly, very clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this property
