About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bath With Dock And Private Beach. Perfect For 4 Season Fun

NEWLY REFURBISHED! Come explore the beautiful north woods of Maine from your home away from home on the shore of pristine Moosehead Lake. The house sits on Harfords Point, which juts out into the southern end of Moosehead Lake, just minutes from Greenville. Start the morning with a cup of coffee on the dock overlooking Scammon Ridge and Elephant Mountain. In spring, summer and fall, enjoy hiking, bird watching, kayaking, fishing and water sports throughout the day. Fall asleep to the sound of crying loons and crashing waves. Winter brings snowmobiling, ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing. Winter prices and minimum stays have been reduced.

Below is a link to a web camera that looks at Harford's Point. The point sticks out toward the camera. Our house is on the right side of the point as you look at it.

Great Place for Friends and Family

  • 5 of 5

The property is in a beautiful location looking over the lake and the mountains. There was plenty of sleeping and room to hangout and relax. Nice porch and steps down to the lake.

A relaxing weekend with friends!

  • 4 of 5

Five friends and I rented the place from Scott and Jana. They were fantastic! The place is roomy...plenty for six of us and more could have stayed. It was clean and right on the water which is why we were there. The ice fishing was good, not great. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. We toughed it out and did fine. The views are stunning and I can only imagine how nice this property would be in the summer. We'll be back 100%

Quiet, Clean, Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

The owners are easy to work with and will gladly answer any question you may have. The photos of the inside of the cabin and the surrounding outdoors are accurate. You do need to take a short walk to the private beach but it wasn't an issue for us. The cabin was neat and clean. There is a skinny, spiral wood staircase on the inside of the cabin to access the basement level and I needed to take my time (knees) but it was doable.

We wanted a place to retreat and relax away from the busyness of our lives and this was just the right place! We cooked most of our meals here (well equipped kitchen - even iron skillets, crockpot, and plenty of other cookware) but Greenville was just a short distance with a great grocery store and good prices. The shops and restaurants are quaint, "touristy," but small town wonderful and a decent price for pizzas, sandwiches and home-cooked menus. There's even a few coffee shops!

The wi-fi at the cabin was never spotty and Direct TV gave us plenty to choose from - football and the World Series - in particular. The quiet of the surrounding woods and the lapping of the water against the shore were our favorites. We felt safe and loved the privacy.

At this time of year we had snow showers five days in a row and just caught the end of the beautiful foliage. Being from Cincinnati, we didn't think to bring warm clothes which limited our taking a lot of walks.

We highly recommend this cabin to you!
