This property is very comfortable and conveniently located just West of downtown in a quaint neighborhood called Deep Eddy. You can walk to Maudies, a Tex-Mex Austin favorite, Fabi and Rosi, fine dining, coffee shops, etc. Deep Eddy Pool is a spring-fed pool and walking distance from this property. You can walk to Austin City Music Festival too! A short cab or Uber ride to downtown.
This adorable house was perfect for a girls weekend! It's beautifully remodeled and right next to Town Lake and the Magnolia Café! And a very short drive to downtown. The neighborhood is very nice and really pretty with lots of trees, hills and uniquely remodeled homes. The owners are so nice and easy to work with. I recommend this rental often to anyone I know visiting Austin.
Wow! What a perfect retreat! This was our first time to Austin, and now I understand the positive vibe associated with this city. We absolutely loved this home in the Deep Eddy neighborhood. We actually walked to the Tex-Mex restaurant, CVS, and grocery store - all a short few blocks away. The home is completely updated, exquisitely clean, and the owners answered all questions quickly. We can not wait to return to this city and perfect home!
This house is a dedicated short term rental so it felt more like staying at a nice hotel rather than staying in someone's house that they occasionally rent out. It's very close to downtown so it was an inexpensive Uber ride to all of the action while still being located in a quiet upscale neighborhood walking distance to the hike/bike trail. You can tell that the recent remodel was done with the thought of making things comfortable for 2 or 3 couples to stay here. There are 3 separate outdoor areas to escape to which I thought was really well laid out.
The house was incredibly clean which was HUGE for my wife. All of the furniture felt like it was new, as were the beds and the linens/pillows. Actually, everything in the house felt brand new. Like I said, it felt more like staying at a nice hotel. The kitchen was well equipped with anything that you could think of including a Keurig coffee maker with a variety of selections. All of the appliances were brand new and top of the line including the washer/dryer. I spilled something on my shirt at dinner and we were able to do a load of laundry which was nice.
Overall, this was a great set up and a great vibe. I can't say enough about how clean the house was. We wished that we could have stayed longer and we'll be back for sure.
We had a great time during our weekend stay. The remodel was very well done and the owners thought of everything you would need to have a great stay. The location is very central to all of Ausitn including wonderful restaurants, outdoor activities and all the city has to offer. We will go back.
Some friends told us about this house in the Deep Eddy neighborhood, and it definitely exceeded our expectations for a weekend stay in Austin. The entire house has recently been remodeled, and it's "brand new" and super clean in all key features. The kitchen is very well laid-out and functional, and all appliances and cabinets are new and spotless. The beds are extremely comfortable...and the location is very quiet, so we slept great every night. The neighborhood is cool....many windows with pleasant views of large trees and peaceful landscaping. The location is outstanding, too....there are excellent restaurants and stores within a few minutes....and the "Austin traffic" does not have any impact at all! The owners have taken care of every detail....we had a great time and are already planning our next trip to this delightful home!
Awesome location with easy access to downtown. Very clean and comfortable. Owners did a great job of providing all the necessary information required to have a excellent stay.
Casual, cosmopolitan, eclectic, five-star, techie, hippie, historic, chic, intellectual, fashionable, artistic, and weird… The adjectives used to describe Downtown Austin are as numerous and diverse as the people who live, work and visit here.
Within a few miles of the historic intersection of 6th and Congress Avenue — where Angelina Eberly fired a cannon to save the state archives and instead saved the Capitol — you'll find a treasure of arts, culture and interesting things to do. More than this, you'll find a center where government, education, business and people come together in one of the most energetic, creative yet somehow laid-back cities in the entire country.
Grab some margaritas, Tex-Mex cuisine and live music at any number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance, experience a college football game at the University of Texas, or enjoy one of Austin's great festivals like Austin City Limits (ACL), South By Southwest (SXSW), the Austin Film Festival (AFF).
