Nice, cozy cottage on the lake!
Overall it was great, we would love to book it in warmer weather so we could enjoy the lake more. My only issue was that we had called the caretaker twice with questions and never received any callback. I would have expected some sort of communication back since we were asking some property specific questions.

Ditto from last year.....
This is our second year returning to his house. It's just perfect....that's it in a nut shell. :)
Quaint and Charming
The property is a small two bedroom cottage on the North shore of Pine River Pond in East Wakefield, NH. An open first floor plan makes living in the area easy and it feels more spacious than it is. A single, modern bathroom on the first floor is the only enclosed space on the first floor. The upstairs is reached by a sturdy but narrow single staircase that leads to the two bedroom on each side of the central hall on the second floor. The side facing the driveway is the master, and the side facing the river is the second bedroom. The master has a very comfortable memory foam mattress over a simple spring rack. A small bureau with a 19" inch flat screen and a Apple TV remote sit atop and two small nightstands adjacent each side of the bed. In the guest bedroom three small beds allow for up to four sleepers comfortably. There is a single nightstand, and a single bureau with another TV. There is no closet space on the second floor. It seems a mistake not to have the master face the river, but perhaps this is for the parents who let the children have the view. Still, being just my wife and I, it would have been nicer to have the master overlooking the water. Both bedrooms have barn doors to close of each sap each. The center hall also has a small bureau for clothes storage at the top of the stairs in a small alcove between the bedrooms.
The kitchen was serviceable, with gas stove/ove, dishwasher, and a sink. There is precious little cabinet space for food and sundries. There are a sufficient mix of dish ware and utensils and kitchen tools. The living/dining area is rather L-shaped and two large TV's on opposite walls allow you to watch TV either from the dining area of a larger and more quiet living area. TV is broadcast only, and there is one non-blu ray DVD player. Wi-if works fine and is easy to connect to and reliable. The outside of this cabin is where the place really shines. A spacious deck with two tables, umbrellas, and eight chairs allow for plenty of room to sit and relax. A gas grill is on one end and you really won't want to use the stove while your here in the summer anyway. Coffee on the deck in the morning watching the fog burn off is a delight. As the day warms up and people come out, you find that the River is a powered water body and a few jet-ski's, pontoon boats, and power boats, along with the occasional kayaker, will come by. A deck and steps lead into the cordoned off (by islands that prevent power boats from entering) swimmimg area.
Property was in great shape with a nice balance between rustic and modern finishes.
We had a great time and the owners were very thoughtful with the small things like onsite laundry, providing linens, wifi, etc.
