Whether you sit on your private lanai or relax in your tropical recliner in the living room, you will enjoy simultaneous views of the 10,035 ' dormant volcano, Haleakala, AND the ocean, with its surfers, sailors and WHALES, The views are spectacular and the breezes are cool. You will be surrounded by windows on three sides in your spacious and tastefully decorated condo.

The entire condo was decorated and completely furnished in late 2010. All furniture is tropical in style, with bamboo wood and floral fabrics. The Master Bedroom has its own private entry and has an attached full bath. The second bedroom boasts 2 mirrored closets and unobstructed sunrise views over Haleakala! Both bedrooms are furnished with top-of-the-line Simmons BeautyRest Pillow Top CAL-KING beds, bamboo dressers, bedside tables, palm tree lamps, ceiling fans and 32" Samsung LCD Flat Screen TVs. There are plenty of comfy, soft sheets and towels, including bath sheets and pool towels.

There is a new, full size HE washer and dryer in the hall and laundry soap is included!

The Living Room has a Queen Size Sofa Sleeper and a Queen Size Wall Bed with a Pillow Top mattress. There is also an occasional chair and a recliner for your TV viewing or reading comfort. For that TV viewing, you will enjoy the Samsung 40" LED Flat Screen TV, the BluRay DVD player and the complimentary cable with HBO and Showtime. WII hook-ups are in place and ready for you to connect your own WII console, if you so choose. The glass and bamboo dining table easily seats six diners, as does your private lanai. Whether you sit at the antique KOA wood desk in the living room, relax on your bed or on the lanai, you will enjoy free wireless internet access. There is also a land-line telephone with free unlimited nationwide calling. The tropical breezes are enough to keep you cool, but, just in case, there is another ceiling fan in the living room and also an air conditioner. Enjoy reading from the selection of books on the hall bookcase or watch one of the DVDs in the wall cabinet. There are plenty of puzzles and even a 'puzzle board' on which to build your puzzle!

The kitchen is a cook's dream, with a Cuisinart Blender/Food Processor, mini food processor, electric can opener, electric coffee maker, hand mixer, toaster oven, wine and cocktail utensils and all the knives and food prep items you could possibly need. There are crystal and plastic wine and beverage glasses as well as crystal champagne and martini glasses. You will find service for 8 of dishes and cutlery, plenty of food storage containers and top quality stainless steel cookware. The kitchen is equipped with new Stainless Steel appliances: refrigerator with purified water ice maker, electric glass top stove, microwave oven and super quiet dishwasher. There is a double Stainless Steel sink with garbage disposal and a separate purifed water faucet. You will even view the ocean while you wash the dishes!

Both bathrooms have tubs and showers in a tropical palm tree setting. You only have to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo - all linens and hairdryers are provided in each bathroom.

You are sure to enjoy your beach days right across the street at Charley Young Beach or at any of the other many beaches in the area. You will find beach chairs in the unit for your enjoyment. If previous guests leave mats, umbrellas or any snorkeling gear, feel free to use it. I do not supply these items, nor do I supply beach toys..

About Norma

I am a retired travel agent and have traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe and the Orient. I have stayed in many elegant hotels, condos and cruise ships. I have been a visitor to Maui since 1984. Maui is where my heart is and I consider it my second home. I have decorated and furnished my condo as I have furnished my primary residence because I want to be surrounded by tropical elegance and comfort. I hope you will feel the same as you share my home.

Why Norma chose Kihei

First and foremost, this condo is my second home! I love the ambiance in South Kihei and the Island Surf Building is the 'Golden Ring' of the area! I looked at many properties in the South Kihei area and ALWAYS went back to this building. I knew what I wanted, I waited and I finally was able to purchase the PRIME condo in this wonderful building - the penthouse floor, end unit condo with windows on three sides and unsurpassed views!

The building has a private pool and barbeques with dining area. There is plenty of off street free parking and even a place to hose off or completely wash your car. The building also has 2 elevators, or, if you are energetic, you can climb the stairs!

What makes this condo unique

I love drinking my tea or coffee in the morning out on the lanai and watching the sun rise over Haleakala. I love sitting and watching the WHALES frolicking in the beautiful surf during the daytime. I love sipping a cocktail and watching the sun set over the ocean in the early evening. I love sitting in the darkness and looking up at the starlit sky while listening to the ocean's gentle roar as the waves lap against the shore! I love my condo and my location 24/7 and 365 days a year!

Shopping is easy and convenient, just a short walk away. Shave Ice is right out the front door and to the right about 50 steps! My hairdresser and massage therapist are on the first floor of my building. Charley Young beach is across the street, within walking distance. You can rent diving gear or snorkeling equipment from the shops on the first floor. There are also two surf schools where you can take lessons or just rent boards, one on the first floor and one right across the street.

In Kalama Park, directly across the street, you will find tennis courts, a skate park, volleyball nets, barbeques, picnic tables, a ball field and many other things to do.

Spacious condo on one of the best swimming beaches in Maui!

We stayed in Norma's condo for a week over March break. The condo was immaculate with lots of room for the 5 of us with the 2 bedrooms and murphy bed. Beds were comfortable and between kitchen supplies, beach chairs,wifi,cable and the gorgeous deck view we had everything we needed. The condo was centrally located with excellent surfing lessons right across the street, grocery store, restaurants and craft mall within 2 blocks. Charlie Young Beach a block away was the icing on the cake with boogie boarding, snorkelling and sparkling clear water for swimming. We are already planning a longer trip next year.

The views and sunset were just breathtaking! Centrally located, walk to cafe, food trucks and food markets! I do not know about u but I will definitely stay at the island surf again!!!

We enjoyed our stay at this location, and everything was as advertised. Norma was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Good location in terms of quick walking access to restaurants, shops and beached. I would recommend this place to friends.

Absolutely Magical

This was my third time in this unit. It is a wonderful spot within walking distance to everything and with all the comforts of home. Wonderful sights and sounds of the Ocean, Haleakala, birds and beautiful sunsets. The beds are comfortable and the unit is well maintained and set up. Kihei getaway

We had a wonderful time in Kihei! Norma was really easy to work with in regards to booking and answering any questions we had. As well as loads of "what to do" info! My husband, myself and our three boys had just enough room in the 2 bedroom condo. One of the fans in the bedroom did not work very well... hanging from ceiling. We called the handyman, who was very nice, but nothing got fixed. The tv in the front room is dying a slow death... so bringing the wii for the kids was frustrating. But most of our time was spent outside! Beaches! beaches! beaches! p.s.The pool is kinda sad...But, aside from the fridge taking about 3 days to keep our ice cream and popsicles frozen and a large visitor from the pipes coming in the bathtub to say hello to the hubby, all was well! We couldn't use the air conditioning due to a nesting bird... who left the nest 2 days later. Only used the air conditioner twice, for a really short period of time, with being on the 6th floor the trade winds are amazing!! The condo is central to everything in Kihei and has a pretty well stocked kitchen! Close to eating, Threes bar n grill is worth the $$ and the wait!, shopping, and activities. Great beaches close by!! Great park right across the street and a surf school on the corner. It is noisy very early in the morning! No, it's not even the roosters! But it is birds, like clockwork at 5 every morning... right next door. All and all a very nice place to come back to after a long day out! Lovely evenings on the lanai! Very fun trip!!

Owner's Response: Aloha Meagan and Andrew! Thank you for your candid review. I apologize that the TV in the living room is not working properly, I am in the process of trying to get it fixed or will replace it. The birds (the noise and the nesting) are always a problem, but small price to pay for being in Paradise! My handyman and I have tried everything to keep the birds from nesting on the A/C unit, to no avail! The next step will be to enclose the unit in a wire mess, up to the ceiling! Working on it, sorry it didn't help you during your stay. But as you saw for yourself, A/C is not needed due to the great trade winds blowing through. The master bedroom ceiling fan will be replaced soon, thank you for letting us know about that! The entire building will soon be undergoing a very large plumbing project. After that is completed I will hopefully be redoing the bathrooms and kitchen, along with all the other little projects that need attending. I hope you will consider booking with me again for your future Maui vacation travels!

Beautiful ! The 4 of us enjoyed everything.

We all had plenty of room but the lanai was our favorite with coffee in the morning & cocktails in the evening. Too bad that one palm tree blocked some of the view. The only problems were we had no internet except for the day we arrived & the day we left. Also there was no remote control for the master bedroom TV.

CLEANING fee of $160.00 applies to all stays of less than 7 nights. There is no option to include this cleaning fee in my "rate" section so this fee will be manually added at the time of reservation request if your stay is less than seven nights.
