I live on a beach at Saunton North Devon with my Husband. Our son, a financial advisor lives nearby and our daughter, a former British Open Ladies Surfing Champion, runs a surf school "Walking on Waves" from Saunton Beach. And also, we must not forget our Labradors Kiri and Millie!
Sue Whiteley purchased this villa in 2004
Location, location, location!!
It is one of only five traditional Spanish front line Villas within easy walking distance of most Corralejo Restaurants
A beautiful villa - just as described by the owners! Fantastic position on the beach with lovely views and very close to all local amenities. We thought that Corralejo is easily the nicest place we have visited in the Canaries. We hope to return soon!
This was my first visit to Fuerteventura and I would recommend Las Olas as the perfect place to stay.
Well furnished, its spacious bedrooms and well equipped kitchen ensure a comfortable stay, capped by the great views across to the harbour, Los Lobos and beyond.
Its beachfront location and proximity to the main town will appeal to all ages. It can't be faulted!
Terrific location just on the beach with easy access to local bars/restaurants and a short stroll along the sea front to the older part of Corralejo. We had a great Christmas break there, our first abroad, and the accommodation was welcoming and comfortable. Heard occasional noise from customers leaving Waikiki Club during the night - but no real problem.
We have stayed in Costa Calma and Caleta de Fuste before but not Corralejo – Well it is the best by far and when you add a cute villa on the beach front into the equation then you really have perfection.
The layout is simple and works well with two good size bedrooms both with good storage and sun shining in the windows either morning or afternoon. The single bathroom is also bright and airy. The lounge with its large patio doors provides perfect views over the bay/harbour areas and together with the day light from the large side window has an overall effect of openness enlarging the physical size of the room within your mind’s eye. The kitchen with breakfast bar to the rear of the lounge is well equipped and can cope well with either your culinary or domestic skills.
Garden to front has more than ample sitting or dining areas and provides sunbathing from morning into late afternoon within two different lounging areas. The garden area itself has good depth therefore the public who occasionally walk past on the beach are sufficiently far away from the main patio area to maintain your privacy.
The best bit is the leisurely strolls along a short section of beach to the promenade with its many bars and restaurants most with seating directly overlooking the beach and great views. The square and older parts of Corralejo provide further choice and a local feel to the dining experience as well as a good quality of street entertainment. Add in the additional facilities on the main and back street areas and the choice is excellent and varied catering for all budgets and tastes.
There is also plenty to do - good activities for all ages, excursions by land/ sea or just hop on a local bus and explore the nearby villages.
The owners were both friendly and helpful with booking and support information and the three of us fully enjoyed our stay.
The final accolade must be that we rebooked for 2015 the day after we arrived back home and are also considering further holidays together with our son, wife and four grand children of various ages.
D & M – the Largs tourists
We have had two lovely holidays here and will be re-booking for next year. It is a beautiful little villa in an enviable location, right in the centre of everything but not noisy at all. We did hire a car as we like to explore, but it is not really necessary as everything is within walking distance. The villa is very clean inside and has everything you need for your holiday. There are restaurants and cafes catering for every budget close by and supermarkets for those who prefer to self-cater. The owner is always contactable for answers to any questions and provides excllent customer service. We would highly recommend this villa to small families, over 55's and couples.

The Villa is centrally situated directly on Galera Beach near Waikiki Beach Bar and 50 metres from two of the Town's beaches safe for all ages. Many restaurants & Corralejo Harbour with hourly ferries to Lanzarote are only a 10 minute walk away. Diving, surfing, wind surfing, swimming, snorkeling, tennis, walking, sailing, cycling, fishing, kite boarding & the Dunes Nature Reserve are all close by. A Water Park (summer only) for the children. There is a golf course in the town and another at Caleta de Fuste (about a 30 minute drive away). Other attractions for visitors include a zoo on the south of Fuerteventura and the Timanfaya volcano and lava fields on Lanzarote where you can also visit the outstanding architectural creations of Cesar Manrique. The scenery is spectacular and the beaches best in the Canaries. The world wind surfing championships are held in the south of Fuerteventura in the Autumn. To explore the whole island a hire car is best; but you can enjoy the Villa without.
