We met as Winery tour guides over 30 years ago and returned to the Valley in 2005, buying our 'dream' retirement home to finish raising our high school boys. Now empty nesters, we love the thought of sharing our property and having others building great memories enjoying our unique home with their family and friends. We hope the peaceful and beautiful setting will bring you the same enjoyment it continues to bring us. Simply put, the layout is fabulous for entertaining whether a casual family reunion or elegant wine country entertaining.
Erin purchased this estate in 2005
Quiet, spacious country living yet close to town. We raised 3 boys and two dogs. Property enough to entertain friends and family. Napa offers concerts and many events throughout year. Used the SF/Vallejo ferry service into San Francisco for work and sightseeing. This location is especially exciting now that the city of Napa has added so many new restaurants, shops and music venues.
Warm sunny days and cool starry nights. Quiet evenings with sunrise and sunset over the mountain ranges. Take the 'back' roads way for a quick exit into Sonoma. Close to SF Bay area and even Lake Tahoe (3 hours away).
I have stayed in this home with a group of friends multiple times. It is beautifully decorated, has all the amenities you could want, a gorgeous setting, and feels like a *home,* with lots of personal touches. It is good for a group trip because of the large indoor and outdoor dining tables. I think my favorite part of the house is the wonderful sound system, not to mention the great vinyl collection! Oh and the pool of course! And sitting in the hot tub with a view of the orchard as the sun sets is pure heaven. Erin is also a fantastic host. She responds quickly via text and email, and goes out of her way to make sure we have a great time when we visit. Each time we stay it is never long enough!
This property is amazing. It's is private with fruit trees, jack rabbits, grape vines and flat. Our kids ran around exploring the property and rode their bikes while we had the peace of mind that they were safe behind the gate. She provided maps and ideas for things to do in town. She was always very friendly, timely and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great...a fabulous house for large gatherings or small.
Where do I begin....If you are seeking a beautiful home where you can cook a gourmet meal in your own kitchen and relax on your back patio with a delicious glass of cab AND enjoy an amazing pool with your personal orchard full of fruit...then this home is for you.
This home is the perfect place for your Napa getaway, whether you are looking for a family retreat or are a group of couples seeking a resort-feel in the privacy of your own home. Some of the key highlights, in no particular order, for us were: 1) Great location - very peaceful and private and seems miles away, yet within a few minutes drive of the great wineries AND great dining options in downtown Napa; 2) Incredible property - Beautiful pool and outdoor area including your own private orchard complete with pears, figs, persimmons, apples and grapes; 3) This home is VERY spacious, well-decorated and very clean. We actually let our infant crawl around on the ground, and we NEVER do that; 4) Huge kitchen/dining/living area with plenty of open space. Perfect for gathering and entertaining, which is ideal for hosting your own private wine tasting; 5) Entertainment options - Plenty of games, pool toys, etc. and a great sound system that is available inside and out; 6) Proximity to running, cycling trails and roadways- and just down the road at the nearby park we watched 10-12 hot air balloons land one morning- it was unreal; 7) Great owners- Through the process, you feel like you get to know Erin and Joe, who are really wonderful people. You will definitely want to return here, again and again, as we do. We have found our Napa "home away from home" and will look no further for our future Napa summer and winter vacations!
Whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic retreat, a family with kids or two families traveling together or a large group of friends, this very private, gated Napa Valley vineyard estate was convenient to everything and yet secluded enough to make you feel like you were really “getting away from it all.”
Situated on three beautifully landscaped acres on the valley floor with views of the hillsides and vineyards, 1.5 acres of on-property merlot vines, an expansive fruit orchard and a beautiful lap pool and Jacuzzi with a cabana just steps away (our kids were in the pool pretty constantly, which was a great way to keep them occupied while the adults watched over them while enjoying wine and barbecued meals).
The 5 bedroom, 6.5 bath home also provided the perfect layout to give everyone plenty of privacy. The fully outfitted gourmet kitchen was a popular place to congregate – with a massive island made of half marble and half butcher block, it was a great place to combine entertaining and cooking.
The owner Erin was really terrific to work with - she was super attentive, quick to respond to email inquiries, gave us her cell phone number (and although I didn't intend to bother her, I did end up calling a couple of times with questions and she was extremely friendly and happy to share her beautiful home).
We all had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an incomparable Napa Valley vacation.
Thank you Erin!
