Owwner's Personal Unit....This is the lower unit of the duplex Coco-Nut's of Anna Maria. This unit is 1 bed/ 1 bath, which is perfect for couples to get away ( would not recommend to parties over 4 people (2 cots available for use). Coco-nuts is an open floor concept for living, dining and kitchen area. A full bath is located off the master bedroom with a tub/shower. In additional there is an outside shower in the back courtyard. Located on the corner of North Shore Drive and Fern Avenue, it is just feet away from beach access, near Bean Point. Our beach is one of the most isolated beaches on the island and yet it is within walking distance to fishing piers, Pine Avenue shopping and restaurants, and public trolley transportation.
The living area and dining area open up to the porch and patio area through sliding glass doors. The kitchen area has an exit to the courtyard where gas and charcoal grills are located plus a patio table that sits six.
The kitchen is equiped with up to date appliances including a new dishwasher and range. The owner uses this unit so it is well equipped with china and barware.
It is a separate utility area with washer and dryer and a utility sink.
Towels, linens, beach chairs, and even beach toys are all provided.

Eighth generation Floridian who uses this house as a vacation home for the family. Owner uses this unit while children and their families use the top unit. Perfect for this situation!!!

Home was built by a famous local sports commentator, who used the local fishing pier for his broadcasts. Owner chose this property because of its location on the prestigious location on the furthermost northern tip of the island, its walking distance to fishing piers and Pine Avenue shopping, and its sixty steps to the most isolated beach on the island. Previously, family has had vacation places in Crescent Beach, Ponte Verdre, and Siesta Key. We love this area the best for its 'old Florida' feel and for the love of the Gulf as compared to the Atlantic Ocean. When this property came up for sale, we jumped at it because of its unique architecture and proximity to the quietest beach on the island. The duplex style lends itself to allowing the owner to 'enjoy' her grown four children and their children while still having the availability to retreat in order to gain her 'sanity' again.
Beach perimeters change on Florida's coastline. Right now, our beach is the widest and has considerable depth.(Great for knowing it is not going to wash away.) Silky sands, wonderful dunes, and a protected environmental area for sea turtles. Best fishing area on the island. Best shelling on the island. Quietest area on the island, most unpopulated by public traffic. Walk to Pine Street where you find restuarants, shops, and a free trolley stop to all areas of Anna Maria. Runs until 11PM.
On the Gulf side of Bean Point....less current than bay side. Clear gulf waters, great fishing from the shore, most isolated beach on the island, walking distance to restaurants, shopping areas of Pine Avenue, and fishing piers.
Sunrise and sunsets, relaxed, my grandparents wintered in this area in the 1970's and 1980's Brought back man good memories...God is Good....all the time!
We loved the Coconuts! It was just big enough for three of us (two adults, one child). The area is beautiful, the weather was unbelievable and the soft sandy beaches amazing.
Beautiful area. Enjoyed the north end. The sunrise and sunsets. The dolphins , manatees, sea bird's. Rented bike's and rode everywhere easily.
We had a very nice time at Coconuts. Once we discovered the beach access further up, it was much easier to get to the beach. We liked being able to walk to The Sandbar and Rod and Reel. The area was very quiet and there was not much traffic.
Two story duplex, upper and lower units located north end of the island. Less populated and quieter part of island. Walk to Pine Ave. (AM main street) and catch the free trolley to any part of the island. Bradenton is just across the bridge. Sarasota, St. Armands Key only a 30 minute drive.
