Spacious townhouse, historic village of Fornalutx, completely renovated in 2016

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Sleeps 2-7, fantastic views, great location to enjoy the Tramuntana mountains.

The house is located above the pretty village square, with fantastic views of the Tramuntana mountains. It is distributed over 3 floors. The entrance hall/sitting room on the ground floor opens into the kitchen and dining area. On the first floor there is the master room, a single bedroom and a modern bathroom. Go up to the second floor for a twin bedroom and upstairs sitting room. A staircase leads from the sitting room up to the roof terrace. During the winter of 2015/6, we completely renovated the house by replacing the flooring in half of it, installing heating/air conditioning and decorating throughout. We have also purchased new bedroom furniture for three of the bedrooms. The property is ideal for a family, it can accommodate up to 7 by using the double sofabed in the upstairs sitting room. The property is accessible from the top of the central village car park with just a short walk along a pathway (mainly flat, but with one incline at the end), then 16 steps down and 16 steps up. Alternatively, it can be reached from the square on foot only (137 steps up ancient cobbles!).

The property has wifi internet access.

Additional space: Please note that the house can be rented with an annex (20m away) to accommodate an extra 2/3 people (1 bedroom).

A wonderful house in a beautiful location.

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful house in a fantastic location in a beautiful village in the Serra Tramunana mountains. It is a perfect base for hill walking, cycling, sight seeing and within easy striking distance of some beautiful beaches.

The house was in great condition and well equipped and the owners and caretaker could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Sitting up on the roof terrace, looking out over the valley as the heat of the day waned, listening to the bells from the wandering mountain goats was just magical. We were there during a heat wave in August so, although the fans helped, we felt the absence of air conditioning. We loved visiting Robert Graves house in Deia, the beach at Repic, scuba diving in Soller, hill walking around the Serra Tramuntana, cycling on great roads and hills, shopping in Soller, the Eco farm in ecovinyassa. Being able to walk down the steps from Casa Luna to the village square for a lazy breakfast or for a quiet drink in the evening was wonderful.

We would gladly return and would have no hesitation in recommending Casa Luna as wonderful holiday destination.

A fantastic town house with authentic atmosphere.

  • 5 of 5

We have had a fantastic stay (4 adults) in this beautiful town house with an authentic Mallorcan atmosphere. It was very clean, the contact with the owners nice and seamless and we are extremely satisfied and already discussing when we can return. Fornalutx is a beautiful Little mountain village, quiet, friendly and with beautiful views to the Mountains. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

Fünf wunderschöne Tage in Fornalutx

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house in Fornalutx

  • 5 of 5

The house exceeded our expectations as did the town itself. The house is well maintained and supplied with everything you could need for a long stay (we were there 2 weeks). We especially liked the rooftop deck for morning coffee and afternoon beverages. Anne and Alan were very prompt in replying to emails and using paypal made the process very easy and Sari was always just a phone call away. We also rented their casista and the couple that stayed there loved it. Both are conveniently located in town so everything is in walking distance. Fornalutx has numerous restaurants and cafes all of which offer excellent food with a wide variety of choices. My only warning about the town in general is if you have trouble walking up and down stairs this is probably not the place for you as most of the town isn't accessible by car. When we return to Mallorca we hope to stay in this house again.

Wonderful view and perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

The house was Well maintained and clean and easy to get to. It is perfectly located near the village square. We slept in the master bedroom with the shutters opened, and when we woke up in the morning we had the most wonderful view to the mountains and 2 minutes to 9, we watched the sun rising over the mountain tops. That was marvellous. We would like to visit the house again and will surely recommend it to others. Kind regards.

Henrik Poulsen.

We stayed 3 people in this huge house for 5 nights. It is beatiful decorated, clean, with a wonderful view from the roof terrasse. Morning walks up in the orange and olives valley and then to the Local baker for bread. So beatiful.

Fornalutx is still autentic especially in the early morning and evening.

Fine communication to the owners.

Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Puerto de Soller

Fornalutx has been voted the prettiest village in Spain on several occasions. Situated in a valley of the Sierra Tramuntana mountains, it is surrounded by orange, lemon and olive groves set on Moorish stone terraces. The bustling town of Sóller with its famous antique tram offers a wider range of shops and restaurants. There is also the famous mountain train taking visitors through the mountains back to Palma. The area boasts a beautiful coastline, offering walkers and bikers endless opportunities. Walking routes are well marked and if required there are opportunities for joining walking groups - sometimes combined with boat trips. Bike hire is available in Sóller. Deia and Valdemossa are about 30 minutes away by car; Pollensa about an hour. The Port de Sóller has 2 pretty beaches with good facilities. There is a public swimming pool just outside Sóller.
