The cottage was nice and toasty when we arrived and nicely set up with the essentials. The fireplace in the living room was amazing and great view from the upstairs balcony. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this spot for a weekend getaway in the mountains.
My family and I just spent two nights at Lazy Bear cabin for my grandsons first snow trip and my daughters birthday and we had a fabulous time. It's clean and it's the best cabin at a really great price. The owner is awesome as well. Due to snowy weather when we arrived at the cabin the owner was gracious enough to let us go in a little early. We did have to shovel snow off the driveway but that's cause it's just had snowed. The cabin has all the amenities that you would want. It also has great views and it's close to a few restaurants and enough places if you do get snowed in you could walk to. It's nice to rent from an owner who cares for their property and keeps it well maintained. They also care about the people they rent to. My family specially my grandson can't wait to go back and enjoy another weekend if not longer.
Everything about the cabin was great, loved the fireplace also. The parking situation was a different story, we could not get our car up robin lane because of the ice. Constantly spent our days here wondering where we should park and had to ask buisnesses if we could keep our cars parked overnight. Most places allowed it but we had to wakeup at 7/8am both times to move the car.. so much for being able to sleep in on our vaction. Literally hours of our days here were consumed of this whole parking ordeal..could not relax like we wanted. Couldn't bring everything from the car up to the cabin because the walk was too long and we had so much stuff. It was about a 10 min walk every time we needed to get back to our car or back up to the cabin. I understand you can't help snow conditions but I wish that we were warned that the robin road wasn't paved or even told to bring a 4X4 vehicle.... even with chains our car could not get up robin lane.
This place was very cozy and very clean. The master bedroom is more of a loft and the other room is adjacent with 3 twin beds. The fireplace downstairs keeps the house nice and warm. We had a good time watching movies on the sofa next to the fire. It's a little tricky to get up the road to the cabin in the snow because the hill is pretty steep. It might be easier to go around the backway and come down hill. The sign for Robin Land is tiny and posted on a tee so it might be very hard to see at night. Other than some difficulty driving up to the cabin in the snow, we had a wonderful stay! The owner answered any questions I had and was helpful I. Keeping me updated with weather conditions before my arrival.
The place was great. Loved the fireplace. Would love to visit it again.
We rented the cabin for the Big Bear Forest Fest in Snow Valley ski area. The cabin had two bedrooms with plenty of space in each room. It was very clean with upgraded furnature and floors throughout the cabin. Great location, close to running springs village and not too far from Big Bear. I loved the cabin but, no WiFi or TV, only to watch Movies. If you want to relax and visit Running Spring. This is the cabin for you!
