About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath 10 Minute Walk To Downtown, Off Street Parking, Dogs Welcome

This historic cottage can't get any closer to downtown! Besides the fantastic location, what sets our property apart from others is our attention to detail, passion for hospitality, and professional culinary training. We think of everything so you don't have to! Arrive to your refrigerator stocked with groceries, or your favorite bottle of wine. Celebrate an occasion with specialty house made baked goods, or a local NC cheese board, or treat yourself to a relaxing night in with a meal cooked by a private chef. Let us know what your vision of the perfect vacation is, and we can make it happen.

Offering two bedrooms, both with a queen size bed, one with additional twin trundle bed. Each bedroom has built in closets with ample storage space for luggage, clothing and personal items to be stored away. The spacious bathroom features a full size tub and shower, storage space, plush towels and all organic, cruelty free toiletries. The central living room offers a great space for relaxing on the leather couch, watching the game on the mounted flat screen HD television, or playing cards at the coffee table. Additionally there is a dining table and chairs to enjoy a quiet meal in. The kitchen, situated at the back of the house off the living room, is fully equipped with up to date appliances, tools, and service-ware. There are 3 porches where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and sweet neighborhood setting. Sip wine on the front porch swing and watch the world go by, or enjoy a private breakfast on the back porch.

We live on the lower level of the property in completely separate owners quarters. We have absolute respect for your privacy and each domain has its own entrance and driveway.

This is the ultimate location for enjoying the city's thriving culinary and entertainment scenes. Enjoy shopping, gourmet dining, and dozens of art galleries all just a stroll away.

About Liz Reinhardt

We fell in love with Asheville after a weekend trip here. We moved 2 weeks later, leaving New York City in the rearview and headed for the Blue Ridge mountains! We have called Asheville home for 4 years now! We take pride in our property and our city, and want to make sure our guests have a truly memorable experience.

Liz Reinhardt purchased this house in 2012

Why Liz Reinhardt chose Asheville

The character of the cottage, combined with the perfect location made this property a hole in one. You can enjoy the entertainment, culture, and libations downtown has to offer, and still have the privacy and peace of a quaint neigborhood.

What makes this house unique

As one of the oldest homes in the city, it is truly a part of the soul of Asheville. When you stay here you feel as if you're back in time, but with all of the modern comforts and conveniences. The character and comfort that the cottage exudes is what captivated us, and we hope you feel the same way when you step in.

We also provide personalized culinary services to take your vacation to the next level. Visit to learn more about what we offer!

Adorable Cottage in Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Our party of four adults and a dog was absolutely thrilled with our stay. The cottage was everything we hoped it would be and more. It was clean, comfortable beautifully decorated. The owner left special touches for us to make our stay memorable. The beds were very comfortable. We also loved the location! It was a very easy walk to downtown. There is a back porch and two front porches. We enjoyed breakfasts on the back porch and late night drinks on the front porch. The neighborhood has lots of beautiful historic homes which made dog walks very enjoyable. Asheville is very dog friendly with lots of places within walking distance to eat outside with your dog. It is obvious that the property owners are experienced in making sure the guests have a pleasant stay. There was simply no room for improvement. 5 Stars all the way!

Perfect Asheville Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage was exactly as promised--well equipped, comfortable, conveniently located, and charming. It was a short walk to the central Asheville downtown area and the many shops and restaurants that await. The kitchen had everything we needed, beds and furniture were comfortable, and owners were responsive if we had any questions. We would strongly recommend this Cottage without qualification...other than if we want it again while you are there, you have to give up your reservation!

Great Stay in a Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This charming cottage was great for our family of five. The kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked. The beds were comfortable, and the house was lovely. It was a short drive/walk from downtown and close to grocery stores (we made several of our own meals). We would definitely stay here again.
