About the property

10 Minute Walk To Downtown, Off Street Parking, Dogs Welcome

Our cottage can't get any closer to downtown! As the oldest home in Asheville be a part of history by staying at this iconic landmark in our city and enjoy the charm of 19th century living with all of the modern comforts and conveniences.

This is the ultimate location to enjoy a genuine Asheville experience by being immersed in the history of Asheville and to savor the thriving culinary and brewery scenes, galleries and local artisans just a short stroll away.

Besides the fantastic location and historical charm what sets our property apart from others is our attention to detail, passion for hospitality, and professional culinary training. We think of everything so you don't have to! We live on site and can arrange to have the refrigerator stocked with groceries or your favorite bottle of wine before your arrival. Celebrate an occasion with specialty house made baked goods, a local NC cheese board, or treat yourself to a relaxing night in with a meal cooked by a private chef.

Bedrooms have built in closets with ample storage space for luggage, clothing and personal items to be stored away. The spacious bathroom features a full size tub and shower, storage space, plush towels and all organic, cruelty free toiletries. The central living room offers a great space for relaxing on the leather couch, watching the game on the mounted flat screen HD television, or playing cards at the coffee table. Additionally there is a dining table and chairs to enjoy a quiet meal in. The kitchen, situated at the back of the house off the living room, is fully equipped with up to date appliances, tools, and service-ware. There are 3 porches where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and sweet neighborhood setting. Sip wine on the front porch and watch the world go by, or enjoy a private breakfast on the back porch.

We have called Asheville home for 6 years now! We take pride in our property and our city, and want to make sure our guests have a truly memorable experience.

Perfect Cottage!

  • 5 of 5

I can ditto what others have said...the perfect cottage in the perfect location. Close to everything but so peaceful! It's the little touches that make the difference and Liz has thought of them all. My favorite thing was sitting on the back porch with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening, looking at the lovely garden. Truly a wonderful stay! Oh and next time we will bring our dog. So great that it is pet-friendly but rest assured- it is spotlessly clean and there are no signs of any pets having stayed there. I love that because as much as I love animals, I love a clean house too!

Adorable, well appointed and walkable to everything!

  • 5 of 5

We adored our stay at this fabulous cottage. It was wonderful to park the car and be able to walk to everything downtown! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed for an easy get away. Quiet part of town, but close to everything. The owner was wonderful, available, and very helpful. Can't recommend enough!

The cottage is very well kept, very comfortable and has all the comforts of home!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and will continue to for as long as we keep doing our annual visits to Asheville during Christmas. It’s in a great location, quiet city neighborhood and was very comfortable for my son, Mother and myself - we each had a bed! Liz is the most gracious host too. She’s been able to grocery shop for us both times which allowed us more time for all the fun Asheville things without having to spend time at the store. Thank you Liz for another great year!!!
