Our Parisian home is in a sensational location in the absolute center of the city.
The majesty of the Louvre, the grandeur of the Place des Victoires, the glory of the 16th century Église de Saint-Eustache, the beauty of the 17th century gardens of the Palais Royal, and the charm of River Seine are all within five minutes by foot.

Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful apartment in Paris. It is lovely--perfect, in fact-- and we had a most enjoyable stay.... although much too short. We hope to return and you will be the first person we contact when that happens.
With best wishes,
I really have a great time at 7 Rue Coq Heron. Nothing to comment, but perfect. Ashley and Laurence, the owner and manager, make it like home, not just a room in hotel or apartment for the short term rent.
The bookshelf and apartment guide file are full of informations may needed in Paris especially restaurants and bakery, we tried some and all are great. I will definitely be back and stay here again.
We spent a week here and were warm and cozy despite the unusually cold January week. All questions before arrival were quickly answered, we had a smooth time getting into the apartment with a great walk through from the caretaker. She anticipated everything we'd need to know. The "bible" in the apartment helped us find great restaurants, wash some clothes and enjoy our stay. Would definitely book again.
The check in was easy with clear directions given along with a book with printed details. The beds were comfortable. My daughter slept on a pullout in the living room and appreciated the sliding pullout doors that turned the room into a private space. The other beds and bedrooms were comfortable and there was adequate closet space to place our bags. The bathrooms were clean and modernized. The kitchen was also up to date. A computer was provided with wifi connection. The front door was like that of a bank vault. The building were quiet and the elevator was great for getting the bags up to the flat although we usually took the stairs up and down the winding staircase. There was a locked gate to a courtyard followed by a locked door to the building as well. We had no problems with the apartment and plan to stay here next time we are in Paris.
The location is perfect (walk to Louvre, d'Orsay, Les Halles, etc.), with easy access to a grocery store, bakery, and lots of restaurants. The bedrooms are quiet, not on the street side, with heavy dark curtains that block the light and make it easy for kids to sleep in July. I visited with my two young children, and we had a great time. Easy check-in and check-out. Great communication with the owner and owner's representative. Everything was clean and in perfect working order.
We booked Coq Heron for a one week stay in Paris with our 3 children at the beginning of July and were thrilled with our choice!
As previous reviews had suggested the location was fantastic and close to everything we needed while there. The apartment is well laid out with the two bedrooms at the back which is ideal for getting a quiet nights sleep. (Particularly when the Euro Cup was on!) The apartment was clean and well stocked and Ashley and Laurence were both a pleasure to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay and found it far more relaxing than staying in a hotel - we would definitely book again when we return to Paris!
This was our sixth trip to Paris and our first one with our twins, so it definitely made more sense to stay in an apartment than a hotel. This apartment was even better than a hotel. The decor made me want to redo my entire house. It's inviting, calming, sophisticated, as well as homey. And you can't beat the location. A grocery store across the street, a patisserie around the corner. And the Louvre and the river within a few minutes' walk. It was a fantastically comfortable base from which to explore Paris. Laurence, the property's manager, was very accommodating and nice. She really made us feel welcome with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us to enjoy. My only criticism is the lighting in the two bedrooms. There were essentially desk lamps on the end tables, which made it difficult to see the entire room at night. Brighter and softer lighting would really help. The only real big problem I had was that I didn't want to leave. Testimony found in the guest book assured me I was not the only one.
We hope to come back some day!!
Located in the very heart of Paris and a 5 minute walk from the Louvre, the Seine, the wonderful Palais Royal, and 4 metro lines.
