Surrounded by open pastures, longhorn cattle, and live oaks, Cedar Creek Lodge is tucked away on a beautiful twelve acre ranch just three miles from downtown Wimberley. The front and side porch areas with outdoor seating, lighting, and propane barbecue pit area provides plenty of room for you to enjoy time with family and friends. Inside you’ll find everything you and your guests need to 'rough it'.

Our two story, three bedroom hill country home features a completely open floor plan with living area featuring exposed cedar columns and beams throughout for hill country charm along with a sofa, a loveseat, and flat screen TV. The fully appointed kitchen opens up to the large dining table strategically placed right in front of the grand wood burning fireplace. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one contains a king size bed and the other contains a queen size bed. Upstairs is the third bedroom with king size bed. There is also a deck upstairs overlooking the front half of the ranch.

The immediate surrounding grounds are well manicured with soft green grass, shady oak trees, and activities galore. Enjoy a dip in this shared swimming pool or enjoy an evening glass of wine in the jetted hot tub. The kids will love to sit around a real campfire in the rock fire pit. The newest amenity to the ranch is a large covered pavilion with lighting so it can be used anytime of day.

This home shares a ranch with one other vacation rental, Horse Creek ( This home also offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms accomodating another six to eight guests. If you rent both homes, you will have the entire Flite Acres Ranch exclusively to yourselves and you will not have to share the swimming pool, hot tub, or pavillion.

About Heart of Texas Getaways

The owner's of Cedar Creek Lodge bought the property in 2011 as a vacation rental as well as a place for their own extended family to come and enjoy Wimberley. They remodeled, redesigned and redecorated the home. As travelers who often enjoy vacation rentals, they wanted to ensure their guests had the perfect vacation experience.

As tourism in the area grew and the house became more popular with vacationers, the family decided to buy or build more properties. In total, they now own 7 vacation homes or cabins in the Wimberley Valley and plan to build more.

The owners are long time Central Texas residents and have two daughters.

Beautiful house and property. Minor issues need to be addressed

House and property are beautiful. Location is close to city and other activities. There were some issues with the house and we called management company on Tues morning and left message requesting they call us back as we were interested in staying an extra night and we wanted to make sure they were aware of issues we had discovered at the house. No one ever called us back.

The issues were not huge ones, but were ones that with simple maintenance, would have avoided and which needed to be addressed. One of the bathrooms, the toilet was only being held to the floor with one bolt. In the same bathroom, the handle in the shower was gone, making it difficult to adjust water temp or even turn water off and on, especially for younger children. The pool was very dirty when we arrived and the jacuzzi didn’t work. I guess the folks staying in the adjacent house called about it and the jacuzzi. (The pool was cleaned Tues morning and the spa repair man arrived as we were checking out Wed morning.) There were no batteries in any of the remotes (TV, cable, DVR remotes). Whoever stayed before us had burned a lot of their trash in the fire pit, including many beer cans, beer bottles and wine bottles. We cleaned all this out before using it ourselves.

As I said at the beginning, none of these issues were major, and we still had a great stay and our 3 kids loved the property (cattle, deer, and even a cat). My biggest issue was that no one from the company managing the property ever called us back. My wife left hers and my cell phone #’s.

Spectacular Accommodations and Superb Service!

Our stay at Cedar Creek Lodge was fantastic! We were greeted warmly and treated like family. The building is breathtakingly beautiful with lots of open space and amazing attention to details. The kitchen had exactly what we needed, the bathrooms were spacious and immaculately cleaned and everything was in perfect working order. The property is beautiful with a great combination of open expanses and shady trees. It's a great place to relax away from it all but Wimberly is just a short drive away. I would highly recommend Cedar Creek for anyone who wants to experience the beauty and charm of the Texas Hill Country.

Homely, Comfortable and Peaceful

We shared with friends and enjoyed the quiet living.

The house was well appointed, beds very comfortable, even had a fire place.

Wifi was good.

Wish we had a kettle for tea in the kitchen; only coffee machine.

Outside living just as good as inside living with barbeque area, pool and outside seating. Wish we lived closer to be able to use it more often!

Great rental!

We loved it here! Beautiful land, wide open gorgeous house, close to wineries, and lots to do on the property. The beds were wonderful, but I would definitely bring an air mattress rather than have anyone sleep on the sofa bed. Other than that, great place to stay.
