3 Bedroom Ranch Home on 12+acres - firepit, hot tub, shared pool, nature!

Surrounded by open pastures, longhorn cattle, and live oaks, Horse Creek Lodge is tucked away on a beautiful twelve acre ranch just three miles from downtown Wimberley. The front and side porch areas with outdoor seating, lighting, and propane barbecue pit area provides plenty of room for you to enjoy time with family and friends. Inside you’ll find everything you and your guests need to 'rough it'.

Our three bedroom hill country home features an open living area with cedar beams on the ceiling and stone accent wall for hill country charm along with two sofas, a loveseat, and flat screen TV. The fully appointed kitchen opens up to the large dining table and an intimate conversation area strategically placed right in front of the grand wood burning fireplace. The master suite includes a king size bed and en-suite bathroom with double vanity and walk-in shower. On the opposite side of the home are two additional bedrooms. One offers a king size bed and the other offers two twin size beds.

The immediate surrounding grounds are well manicured with soft green grass, shady oak trees, and activities galore. Enjoy a dip in this shared swimming pool or enjoy an evening glass of wine in the jetted hot tub. The kids will love to sit around a real campfire in the rock fire pit just behind the home. The newest amenity to the ranch is a large covered pavilion with lighting so it can be used anytime of day.

This home shares a ranch with one other vacation rental, Cedar Creek (https://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p4044833). This home also offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms accomodating another six to eight guests. If you rent both homes, you will have the entire Flite Acres Ranch exclusively to yourselves and you will not have to share the swimming pool, hot tub, or pavillion.

WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, WELL-MAINTAINED PROPERTY!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Drove 2.5 hours from our home to this property. When we pulled onto the property it felt like we were thousands of miles away. My husband, children (aged 21-30) and I were able to come, relax and enjoy our family for a full week. Swimming pool and hot tub were extensively used as was the well-equipped kitchen. Two dining tables and two living areas were a definite plus. Had morning coffee watching sunrise from rocking chairs on the porch and sunsets from the fire-pit making s'mores. We were 10 minutes from all shops and activities in Wimberley. Our family visited wineries, a distillery, local attractions, and restaurants - all within a short drive from this property.

This property was as listing described, clean, well-maintained - definitely will recommend to others (I have already told multiple friends). Megan was a delight to work with! She professionally returned all phone calls and emails quickly and was happy to help in any way. The connecting property (Cedar Creek Ranch) will be a plus for future vacations - we can include extended family on the two properties. As close as we were to the city amenities of Wimberley, I felt that we were on a ranch hundreds of miles away - very secluded and quiet! We will return as soon as possible! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Fun summer family vacation

We've been to Wimberley several times and have rented from the folks who own this ranch a few times, although not this particular property, and they have always been very accommodating. This house, like the others, was clean and had everything we needed for a great family vacation. We spent a ton of time in the pool and in the beautiful shady backyard and not much time in the house, but when we finally went to bed we really enjoyed the comfortable beds and sheets and new furniture.

Our kids really enjoyed the property as well! They played in the huge front yard, swam, and exhausted themselves chasing fireflies each evening. We were excited to see a movie at the Corral Outdoor Theater located on the road to our place.

We had a great trip and next time hope to rent the neighboring property for other friends.

Land is beautiful....BUT

First, this property is beautiful and there is lots of wildlife to see, however that's about the only redeeming qualities I can say. The house was NOT clean. Everyone pays a cleaning fee, but this management company is getting completely ripped off. There was dirt and food under couch, beds and tables. The dryer lint filter was so packed its a wonder the house hasn't caught on fire. I had to fold the towels in the dryer (left by someone else) before I could dry my clothes. Sink clogs, and very little utensils (knives were awful). It stats WiFi in house, but it never worked. If you want to quiet getaway, it is beautiful; but I wouldn't stay at this property again.

Owner's Response: Hello Meredith, I assume you are writing this response on behalf of Stephanie B as she is the client who I have been in communication with and was the one who reserved this home for the dates you have listed? First, I am very sorry that your stay at our property was less than satisfactory. We strive very hard to provide a premier service for our guests and I am very saddened to hear that you do not feel like you received that during your stay. I had talked with someone prior to this reservation about an early check-in request, which unfortunately meant that the cleaning staff would not be able to finish folding the last load of towels (a few extras in case you needed them). I really wish that someone from this reservation would have contacted me during your stay if there was any wifi problems or clogged sinks. If I had been made aware there was an issue, including the cleanliness, I would have fixed those issues for you immediately. We do have a full staff of cleaners and maintenance on call 7 days a week and we would have very much enjoyed the opportunity to correct any issues. I hope you will consider returning to one of our hill country homes and allow us another opportunity to prove we really care about our guests and want to make sure everyone has an absolutely wonderful experience.
