About the property

A self catering rental which is minutes from the beach

This bungalow is situated in an ideal all year round holiday destination. It has the best of both worlds, quiet location on the complex and minutes from the hub of all Las Americas has to offer. It is a two bedroom spacious bungalow which sleeps 4 (two extra children can be accommodated). The living area leads onto a patio and small garden which is not overlooked. There is a large freshwater pool on the complex. We have a property management company who look after the bungalow. The airport is only 20 minutes away. The bungalow has just undergone a refurbishment which adds to its charm.

Everything we could want and more

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic holiday, villa ideally situated, spotlessly clean and information pack found in top drawer of unit in the lounge. Reported the airing rack broken and a new replacement was brought within an hour of my phone call. It is the first time we have done self catering and I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet villa in the heart of las Americas. The washing machine and uk television was a bonus. My kids loved the pool, the complex is well maintained as was the villa. The management company provide a 24 hour 7 day week call out service and were very helpful, we had late flights home and they allowed us to stay until out departure time at no extra cost. We have already booked for next year. Thank you to everyone who helped make this the best holiday ever.

Great location and value for money, Would stay again

  • 4 of 5

Based on the previous reviews, we turned up with an open mind.

We received all the necessary keys to the complex and bungalow prior to arrival which was helpful, no waiting on someone.

The complex Los Cordones is situated in the heart of PDLA. Upon arrival we used the gate cards to access the complex. The bungalow is located in a quiet area at the back of the complex past the pool. You are not affected by any noise from the bars or restaurants, another bonus.

Complex I believe has just had a lot of investment and redecoration, and it was spotless, as well as the poolside and pool.

We were surprised with the bungalow, First impressions were good it smelt freshly cleaned. Bedding and towels smelt fresh, (It would have been nice to have some extra bath towels) Kitchen was a little sticky in places and a few knobs came straight off in my hands and need repairing, fridge was adequately cleaned. Unfortunately, due to the bathroom being internal it has no windows, so smelt damp. I instantly removed the old and dirty shower mat from the shower!

The garden was clean with a patio area, 2 sunbeds and table with 4 chairs. The bungalow is the highest, therefore not overlooked, but from the garden it does directly overlook 3 other bungalows straight into their living rooms.

We stayed for one week, 4 Adults, my grandmother an mother spend most days at the bungalow so we were able to leave all the doors and windows open, which helped air the property.

Positives – Great central location, Quiet bungalow, great pool area, clean and safe complex, All the English television channels, Great value for money, Sun soaked garden for catching the sun. Did not see any cockroaches in the apartment!

Negatives – Bathroom and kitchen need a deep clean. Mould present in the shower area and kitchen cupboards sticky and smelt fousty. (Easily cleanable/removable with a steam cleaner). Garden furniture needs updating to add more of a homely stay as sunbeds have seen better days as well as the mix and match table and chairs. As with every property I have stayed at in Tenerife, there is an issue with ants, all be it this is the least I have seen.

I would defiantly stay here again and I would recommend to friends and family as the property is good value for money.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. I will ensure that we have a deep clean in the kitchen and bathroom. The bungalow has been booked out constantly for the past few months and it is very difficult sometimes to get those extra jobs done. We will be shutting the bungalow down for a whole week so that we can refurb and get all the maintenance work carried out. I would welcome you to come and stay again. Kind Regards Jacky

Outstanding bungalow

  • 5 of 5

The bungalow is in a fantastic location. It is clean and fresh. It is very roomy. Perfect for all of our needs. Situated in a quiet spot on the complex yet when you come out of there all the restaurants, bars, shops and beach are on the doorstep. We shall definitely stay here again

No I wouldn't recommrnd this property.

  • 2 of 5

Very disappointed with the property, while it looks brilliant on the photo's it's actually looking quite shabby and rundown which is a pity really because if it was being looked after properly it would be great. I could quite happily live there but I would have to blitz the place first, it needs a really good clean out. It looks like the "cleaning" has been skimmed over for quite some time. On the second day of our holiday I swept the lounge/living area and collected quite a neat little pile of dust/debris and my daughter stripped her bed and washed all the sheets as she said they smelt musty. We were overrun throughout the whole of our stay with cockroaches, we went through 4 cans of anti-cockroach spray, 1 that was already in the cupboard and 3 that we bought ourselves, they were even running about on the work tops, it was terrible, when we reported it to the person that looks after the bungalow her reply was " well what do you expect darling you're only 50miles off the coast Africa" which may very well be true, but what I don't expect is to spend my time on holiday spraying for cochroaches. We spoke to other people staying on the complez and they did'nt seem to be having a problem, other than that the bungalow is very well situated and the complex is ok.Perhaps it might be a good idea for Jacky to pop over there unexpectadly sometime.

"COCKROACHES"

  • 1 of 5

If you like cockroaches this is the place to go.every night when we came back from

our night out I had to chase after them with a cockroach killer spray.i lost count how

many I killed in the two wks we where there.when the manager came to change the

bedding I told her we was not happy about them;she just said you will never stop

them.what a poor excuse.other points to mention are:the bedrooms are dark and

dank;there are no main lights just two bedside lamps.to get light you need to open the doors and the shutter doors.also the outside furniture was crummy it looked like it had never been cleaned;and the parasol was broken.the tv was old fashioned type with no chanel 4;the mop and brush was also crummy they looked like they had been there for years.there is no air con but we was told that there was fans which was not true.and there was also no keys for the safe so that could not be used.the doors and shutters where absolutely filthy they must never have been cleaned.the one star i give it is for the location.we was coming home on friday but started packing on wednesday we could not wait to get away from the roaches.I'm sorry but this place needs badly updating especialy the bedrooms with better lighting and fans.
