Our family spent 3 weeks in June-July 2013 at Mylos Apartments. We stayed on the ground floor apartment with one bedroom and living room – kitchen.
First of all we would like to thank Kalliroi and her family for the hospitality and atmosphere they provided to us. We felt like we were at home being a part of their family.
The location of the Apartments is in Gialova village, about 300 meters from the nearest beach. It is in picturesque place on the coast of Navarino Bay surrounded by the most beautiful beaches and historical sights. The distances to some of the beaches near the apartments require good walking abilities, bicycle or a car (it can be up to 5-8 km).
Second of all we would like to mention extremely clean condition of the apartments. They were cleaned on daily basis and beddings were changed somethinag like every second day.
It was freshly decorated and looked nice and cozy.
Apartment’s kitchen was good equipped for simple cooking. As we prefer cooking at home the microwave with grill or oven was missing, as well as dishwashing machine (we had got 2 kids with us).
Kalleroi was very helpful and attentive. She helped us to find good placed to visit including beaches, village restaurants, museums and shops. She is very good person and friend.
We highly recommend to visit restaurant of her sister and her husband and to try their famous dish “Mussaka” as we did one eve.
We will always remember this vacation and one day we would like to come back to Mylos. Thanks once again to you Kalleroi and best regards to your good family. Eduard, Alisa, Eva and Ian.
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Mylos apartments. From our arrival, Roi and her family were welcoming and extremely helpful (They helped advocate for us with our rental car that got a blown tyre on the way there!). We had a 1 bed apartment on the 1st floor which was bright clean, spacious and airy and tastefully decorated. Roi had even managed to get us a DVD player we had enquired about when we booked.
All windows and french doors have mosquito screens and there is air conditioning so you can be comfortable day and night. We were provided with a lot of bits and pieces that made it all feel quite homely: coffee, olive oil, sugar, homemade quince jam and honey (yummy) and throughout our stay various local produce was genorously shared with us by the family. Local natural toileteries were also provided.
The apartments are well looked after and cleaned regulary with fresh sheets and towels every couple of days. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious with a large shower.
The location is an excellent base with Gialova village and Beach just 5mins walk away. There are a lot of other truly amazing beaches nearby which can be reached by bike or car or by foot if you are feeling energetic and lots of other sights to see including the lagoon (lots of birdwatching), Kalamari and Polilymnio Waterfalls, Paleo Castro Castle and easy access to the town of Pylos and various other parts of the Messinian Peleponese.
Each day, after our adventures it was lovely to return to the apartments and enjoy a quiet evening alone or chatting about our trips with our lovely host.
The apartments do lie near to the village road which can be noisy at times, but we got used to this pretty quickly and slept with windows open at night. If you close the windows/doors all are double glazed so keep the sound out or you may prefer a ground floor apartment with the bedroom at the back.
After 2 weeks it was diificult to say goodbye - we would would thoroughly recommend these lovely apartments and fantastic hospitality, even in early September the weather was still very hot and the sea very warm! Would love to return there !
We would also recommend Elias Restaurant in Gialova Village for great greek specialities and great service and price and we had gyros a few nights from a small kebeb place at just over 2 euros which made for a great snack in the evening.
Me, my dad, brother and sister stayed at Mylos Appartments for 2 weeks and it was truely the best holiday we have ever had it lived well above the description it gives its self! the appartments were perfect size, beautifully decorated and had the awesome holiday atmosphere in the air and were cleaned every day, the garden and chill out area were stunning, they have toys for children, books to read, arts and crafts and the most unique pieces of art around the whole property. you can pick lemons and oranges off the trees in the garden or sit on the hammocks under the shade of a walnut tree. It has a fantastic location as you have bars, cafes, resturants (they make the yummiest kebabs and they are so cheap, all 4 of us ate till we were full and it came to a total of under 20euros!!!), shops and a mini market just 2mins down the road and the most gorgeous beaches i have ever seen and its a 5min drive to Pylos which is nice town to visit with lots to look at, they have the best waterfalls where you can see the terepins, frogs and crabs and its lovely to jump in and cool down. The locals are lovely. very polite and helpful! i could not find a fault with the appartments at all. i have reccomended this place to my nan and all my friends as theyre very big on travelling and me and my family will definately be visiting the appartments again. The customer service was like ive never experianced before we felt like we were part of Roi's family and i can honestly say she will stay our friend for life. Not one thing i can fault the property on... apart from mosquito bites so if you do go make sure you take plenty of repellant with you.
10/10 Roi you made our holiday unforgetable. and we will definatley be back!!!!!!
This summer (2011) we (me, my wife and two small kids) spent wonderful vacation at Greece - 4 weeeks at Peloponnesus. During 2 out of 4 weeks we stayed at Mylos Appartments in Gialova, near Pylos. And we're still have very fresh, vivid and happy memories from that time. The place itself is very nice and quiet - good balance of tranquility and still some tourists (which provides sufficient amount of shops and restaurants at the sea-shore I believe). We love Greece for it's beaches - and this time we were not disappointed indeed - there's one of the most beautiful beaches nearby - Vojdakilia, and quite a few other beaches - which we we told about by Roi, the owner of the appartments. If you have a car - it is not a problem to approach them all, otherwise the nearest are easily accesible by bike, which you can rent nearby.
Appartments themselves- beyond question - one of the best places we've ever experienced to stay at during out not so long (though) altogether vacation experiences. Designed with great artistic taste, very cousy, spatious and clean inside, with beautiful garden with shady pavillion where you can sit and leisurely talk or surfe through the internet (free WiFi included!) - outside! I admired artistic objects in the garden - created from some sea stones and suitable for kids for climb.
Roi - great host, very warm and hostile. Yound ang beautiful Greek woman! It was a pleasure talking to her about Greece in particularly and life in generaly. She adviced as few great places around to go and see and they all were really worth it! Special thanks to Roi for couple of hidden beaches she recommended us - it was really something! Tiny liitle pieces of sandy shore hidden in rocks with narrow serpentine road coing down to them!
Our kids loved Roi very much - they are pretty small - 3 and 5 years old - and I'm surprised to understand they still spontaneousely remember her with great pleasure and laughter.
All in all - I do recommend the place to anyone who is planning the trip! And by the way - we realised, that Pylos and Gialive are perhaps the best place at southern-west part of Peloponnesus to stay - good mixture of beaches, historical sites and touristic infrastructure (we traveled a lot around and we now know for sure!)

I would definitely recommend Mylos Apartments to any one planning on staying in the area. The accommodation is really very nice, in a good location and in a beautiful part of Greece to visit with lots to explore. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, well equipped, very comfortable, nicely decorated, had a very nice bathroom and was kept spotlessly clean. I honestly could not fault the accommodation it in any way, but what makes Mylos Apartments really special is Roi and her family, who own and manage them. They are lovely people and made us feel most welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Roi really made sure that we felt at home and had everything we needed. She speaks very good English and was full of great tips and information about things to do and places to visit in the area. The family also run a very nice restaurant called Elia, where we found great food and hospitality. We had a very nice stay and a holiday to remember. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Roi and her family and we hope to go back some day to further explore all that the area has to offer. When we do, we will certainly be booking a room at Mylos Apartments.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Mylos apartments for 3 weeks July - August 2010 looking for time to chill out and relax. That is exactly what we did in this lovely setting. Right from the warm welcome from the owner Roy we felt at home.
The apartment was excellent - roomy, clean and cool (in the heat of July). The appointments are good quality - comfortable beds and couches, fluffy towels and a nice terrace. The location is superb, (not in the noise of the town, nor having to climb the hill from the beach) and as we like to cook (there is a fully equipped kitchen), buying the intensely flavoured local fruit and vegetables from a market garden just up the road was a treat. The local wines were a pleasant surprise and Roy has a good knowledge of the local vintages.
There is a lot to see and do in this area as well, from stunning sandy beaches, to waterfalls, to historic castles and a beautiful calm bay. We had a very enjoyable time and would definitely return.
Mylos apartments are situated in the southwest part of Peloponnese,at the seaside village of Gialova, 5 km west of Pylos.
They are only 200 meters from the beach of Gialova and 4 km from Voidokilia beach.
The island of Sphakteria, which encloses the bay in front of Gialova, and the lagoon to the west, compose a view of unique beauty. The impressive Messinian landscape, alternating between rolling green expanses of olive trees and the deep-blue sea, invite you to explore the area.
The beautiful and picturesque town of Pylos with its preserved castle, cobbled alley-ways and its renowned square that is shaded by age-old sycamore trees, the unique flora and fauna of the Gialova lagoon, which belongs to the NATURA 2000 network of protected sites and Voidokilia beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe, are just a few of our area's sites of cultural and natural interest.
We look forward to sharing our area's attractions with you.
Golf: Enjoy a round of golf at Greece’s first signature designed golf course...just 5 km away from Mylos Apartments.
