Whether travelling between Toronto and Montreal or exploring the attractions Eastern Ontario has to offer, discerning travellers enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay at Burken Bed & Breakfast. Our beautiful stone & brick country home is surrounded by mature trees, gardens with flowering shrubs and a babbling brook. Guests may choose between two comfortable rooms with free internet access.
At Burken B & B, our breakfasts have a local flavour, thanks to eggs from nearby hens, locally produced maple syrup and, when available, fresh, in-season fruits from the many orchards and farms which surround us.
Our B&B is located on the Apple Route (County Road 2) just 90 minutes east of Toronto, three hours west of Ottawa and four hours west of Montreal. It is easily reached from the 401. We invite you to explore the Northumberland Hills, the neighbouring Quinte region which is home to the Trent-Severn Waterway and Canada's National Air Force Museum at CFB Trenton, or Prince Edward County with its many vineyards, wineries and sandy beaches.
Cyclists and motorcyclists will enjoy riding some of the best rural touring routes in Eastern Ontario and at the end of your day we are happy to offer you a berth in our garage for your cycle. Birders will delight in visiting nearby Presqu'ile Provincial Park which is a resting point on one of the major bird migration routes in North America. If shopping is your thing we're happy to point your way to some of the finest antique shops, specialty stores and art galleries in Brighton, Colborne, Warkworth or Cobourg.
You'll enjoy the kind of personal attention that comes with an overnight stay at a bed and breakfast. So book a night at Burken B & B. We're your hosts, Burke and Ken, and we have shared our unique hospitality with satisfied guests for over 30 years. We look forward to welcoming you into our home.
