Hi I'm Deborah. I'm a native New Yorker who has been working in real estate for most of my career. I love this city and love seeing through the eyes of newcomers. It's a great city to live in and visit. My forte is knowing the quickest way to get anywhere and staying up to date on all the latest restaurants, stores, trends, etc. that the city has to offer.
Deborah purchased this apartment in 2001
I've spent most of my life on the East Side, especially the East Village (aka Alphabet City). This neighborhood has changed so much but it's unique style and personality have remained. There is a great mix of people and artists that keep the neighborhood vibrant and interesting. You can find yourself in a coffee shop sitting next to an actor, musician or someone with purple hair and a parrot on their shoulder. You'll never be bored being in the East Village and that's why I love it so much!
There are a lot of reasons why you'll enjoy staying in this apartment. First off - it's very spacious. The living room and dining area offers a comfortable space to relax in after a day of sightseeing. Two full bedrooms also assure that you'll be comfortable and able to get a good night's sleep. There's also a laundry room with washer and dryer and a full kitchen. One of the best part's of the apartment is the private backyard. It's a great space to relax and have a meal, cup of coffee or glass of wine. The apartment is very private and quiet that you'll hardly realize you're in one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in all of Manhattan. You don't even have to leave the neighborhood to go to some of the best restaurants, bars, clubs and shops that the city has to offer. However, you should venture out and the crosstown bus and subway can get you anywhere you want in Manhattan (the Highline, Rockefeller Center, Financial District, etc.) or out to Brooklyn (Williamsburg, etc.)
We stayed here for our girls trip to New York City. There were five of us for most of the time and six for three nights of the trip. We had plenty of room for us, sleeping, luggage etc. the apartment is large and very nice. We didn't lack for anything it is furnished with just about everything you could want. It is very convenient to the bus lines that will take you right to the subway if you can take a nice stroll to the subway aboutv8-10 blocks. The delis and restaurants are close and the best bakery is only about three blocks away. The backyard is great although it was too cold most of Texas time for us to enjoy it. I would highly recommend this place to stay. You can walk right to the door from the sidewalk no stairs. It seemed very safe with the lock on the door and the gate that is locked to the small front porch. Will gladly stay here again.
This apartment worked out very well for our visit to New York City. There were 3 of us and as shown in the photos, it is quite roomy. We were very comfortable and feel it was a good value.
The owner was very prompt to communicating information with us.
We chose a 4 star instead of 5 simply because the apartment could use a deep cleaning. This apartment is obviously lived in, and as long as a renter is aware of that, there is really no problems.

I want guests to feel at home and I stay out of your way after you check in. However, I'm always available if there are any problems (locked out, etc.) The one main rule is that there are no parties allowed in the apartment. Since I can't be there to monitor noise, etc., as a courtesy to the other neighbors, I can't allow parties. Having a party will result in a forfeiture of your security deposit. Any guests that stay over the amount that were on the booking will be charged the $25/night fee from the security deposit.
