30A Escapes presents... The Rose at Mercado

This fabulous penthouse condo is in a perfect location! In the heart of Rosemary Beach overlooking the town center and the rooftops of the community, it is an easy walk to all restaurants and shops, the Western green, as well as the Gulf.

It is less than a 2 minute walk to the pool and the pristine beaches of the Emerald Coast. A security coded elevator takes you to the 3rd floor entrance of this beautiful condo.

There you will find the spacious living area, custom dining area, and chef's kitchen. All of the upgrades in the kitchen invite the gourmet cook... Viking stainless steel appliances, SieMatic kitchen cabinets, and granite countertops. The Breakfast Bar/Island provides a place to prepare dinner as well as 3 more dining spaces.

Luxury designer furnishings and extensive crown molding adorn the comfortable and open spaces of the living area.

Just off of the living area is the master suite. This room features a King size bed, seating area, and a large flat screen TV. The master bathroom boasts a jetted tub, large walk in stone tile shower, and double vanity. The master bedroom also has a private access to the balcony overlooking the South side green in Rosemary Beach.

The 2nd master suite has a Queen size pillow top bed and a private bathroom.

Additional sleeping for 2 is provided in the twin room with two Twin size beds. An attached full bathroom with walk in shower completes the 3rd suite of the penthouse.

A furnished balcony off of the living area is perfect for morning coffee and afternoon sunsets. Or just 'people watching' on the green. A designated covered parking space is provided in the rear of the building.

Important Things to know:

1) We do not offer Travel Protection Insurance in our quotes. You may obtain one independently.

2) VERY IMPORTANT - WE DO NOT ACCEPT WIRE TRANSFERS. We accept Visa, MasterCard and AMEX only.

3) 3 bikes are included in the rental. To utilize, waiver must be signed and received before code provided. Please contact Saxon Smith with Bikes4U at 850.399.1230 with any bike questions.

4) CONSTRUCTION IS IN PLACE ALL OVER 30A. We cannot be held responsible for construction near the home.

Smell of stale smoke spoils our stay

If you enjoy the smell of stale lingering cigarette smoke (or something else offensive- I.e. the rental company obviously denied the unit had ever been smoked in) then rent this condo. If you are offended by such a smell I suggest you choose from the numerous other fabulous properties in Rosemary.

We have rented properties all along the Beaches of South Walton annually for over a decade. Rosemary has become our favored area. This condo was by far the worst experience of them all due to the smell. Also, don't trust the location reflected on VRBO because it miss leads you into thinking the property is well south of 30a when it actually sits directly on 30A.

To make matters worse the property rental company handling the property has been totally classless in addressing our concern regarding the smell. They did send a maintenance person to address our concerns and he admitted there was a smell. We requested the opportunity to move to another property, but they said we could not due to our contract. I contacted a manager the company while we were in the unit and after a discussion he promised to call back after he had a chance to assess the problem. He never followed up. As of now, he has also failed to return my follow up voice mail. This is unacceptable behavior from a company in a service oriented business! In sum, avoid this property if the smell of stale smoke offends you, and you despise incompetent property management. There are too many great properties to rent and excellent management companies to deal with in Rosemary.

Unfortunately, there was no where to move you to when you stayed, so we were not able to make further accommodations for your stay. Thanks again for the review and your feedback. Fabulous and Beautiful!

My family and I stayed here and we are planning on coming back every year. This penthouse was incredible and conducive to my family ranging from ages 75 all the way down to toddler! Everything we needed was included in the unit and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. We were in the heart of Rosemary Beach and it was ideal. Thank you for a wonderful vacation and we look forward to many more!1

The Ultimate Rosemary Beach South Side condo

I love this property and the Mercado building is so cool. This is a large top floor that feels more like a large home vs a condo. The rooms are huge and the balconies are very comfortable and relaxing. It is a private and quiet top corner of the building. Having Paradis on the first level and such easy access to the beach is wonderful. You cant beat having a 20 second walk to La Crema. This is in the heart of Rosemary Beach. Walk to the beach in 1 minute! Definitely will recommend to friends.
