This house is the perfect getaway for any season. One vacationer wrote in the guest book, “We have stayed in Pagosa Springs many years for vacation, and this home is our hands down best stay.” Three bedrooms, two full baths, kitchen, dining room, living room and three decks. The master bedroom has a king bed and attached bathroom. Second floor bedrooms have a king bed in one, twin beds in the other. Both the master and second floor bathrooms feature double sinks and shower/tub. Ceiling fans in the living room, master bedroom and both second floor bedrooms. Electric radiant floor heat in the living room and master bedroom. Ceramic floor tile throughout, new as of summer 2015. Bathrooms updated summer 2015. The house features three decks, one large two-level deck at the back of the house, a smaller side deck near the kitchen with a gas grill, and a second floor deck shared by both upstairs bedrooms.
Prepare your meals in the fully outfitted kitchen. Some vacationers have said it’s better outfitted than their own kitchens at home. Grill your food on the four-burner propane grill with rotisserie on the deck right off the kitchen and dining room. The open dining room seats eight. The living room features a leather sofa/full size sleeper, two reclining easy chairs, flat screen tv with DirecTV, Blu-ray/DVD player with wide selection of movies, and a stereo. New free-standing gas stove in the living room installed November 2016 for that winter cabin experience.
The views from the large two-level deck off the living room are simply amazing. The pines seem to go on forever and across the valley is Broken Off Point, a very interesting geological feature. Sunsets viewed from the deck are fantastic. The deck has an outdoor dining table with six chairs and during the summer has four adirondack chairs and side tables. The home sits well back from the road for a feeling of seclusion, but many restaurants and Pagosa’s largest grocery store are only five minutes away. Very large detached two-car garage.
It’s in the Pagosa Lakes area. Very close to the Pagosa Golf Club, a 27 championship-hole course, the Pagosa Lakes Recreation Center, and the five private lakes reserved for the use of the owners and their guests. Four of the lakes are stocked regularly with trout, large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish, and jumbo perch. The National forest is a short 15 minute drive away, giving you the opportunity to experience the waterfalls, hiking, snowshoeing, and countless other activities in and near the surrounding area. The famous Hot Springs are located in downtown Pagosa Springs, a short four mile drive. Wolf Creek Ski Area is just 30 miles away. No matter what your passion is Pagosa Springs has an abundant array of things to keep you busy while vacationing.
