Why Kim Koagedal chose Agua Caliente
You can’t possibly get bored in Sonoma! While Sonoma County is most famous for its wineries, it’s also a good place to take in the great outdoors of Northern California. Sonoma County’s mild climate and breathtaking landscape make it an ideal location for experiencing the outdoors from Redwood forest hikes in Armstrong Grove, coastal kayaking at Bodega Bay, or picturesque bike rides through the Valley of the Moon. There are many activities beyond the obvious ones. Want to see the big picture? Soar above the valley in a vintage bi-plane at the Sonoma Valley Airport. Do you have an urge to get behind the wheel of a racecar, try the world class Sonoma Raceway? If you are not an adrenalin junky maybe an educational vineyard tour is more your speed. There is no lack of options when is comes to wine and food. You could consider a cooking or even cheese making class if that is how you want to expand your horizons? But if the big view is what you are looking for, hikers will appreciate the many trails up into the hills where you are rewarded with spectacular views all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. Or, dig into book you’ve been meaning to read and cozy up by the fire and enjoy our view across the Valley of the Moon. Whatever you end up doing be it wine, food, and other fun activities, book a long weekend or go ahead and book A Modern Sonoma for a full week!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is modern, clean, and conveniently located for everything we wanted to do during our time in Sonoma/Napa. The property manager was also extremely accommodating and responsive from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Top Notch!! Best Vacation EVER!!!
After looking at hundreds of homes for months....to find the perfect place to celebrate my daughters 30th Birthday....we found this one!! And perfect it WAS!! Not only was it ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, it was designed extremely well to fit all 6 of us so comfortably!! With gorgeous views out of every window in the house, Including the master bathroom jacuzzi tub!! Although it did rain during our stay~ the views with the fog rolling in and the peaceful serenity we didn't even care! Kim was so gracious with a lovely welcome tour, a cheese and fruit platter and of course some WINE upon our arrival!!! She also was so helpful during our planning stages with every question we asked she quickly and thoroughly responded! I cannot say enough about this "BEAUTIFUL MODERN SONOMA HOME" and Kim!!! 10 stars ++!!!! Thank you so much we will be back again!!
An amazing visit!
We - six members of a book club - traveled to San Francisco, Berkeley, Sonoma, and Napa for a long weekend. We ate at Chez Panisse, experienced the Wine Train, visited Jack London State Historic Park, visited several wineries, and celebrated a member's 70th birthday. We had much fun! But the best part of the trip was being able to stay Friday-Monday at "Modern Sonoma Home!" We loved hanging out there! Great comfortable bedrooms for everyone, plenty of bathrooms, breathtaking views of the countryside, a well-equipped kitchen for shared cooking, the inviting hot tub, a roomy yet warm and welcoming living area, a spacious dining area where we shared meals and board games - it was all just perfect. Checking in and out were a breeze, the host was very hospitable, and the price was quite commensurate with all that the property offers. Treat yourself to the best - book a stay at "Modern Sonoma Home!"
LOVED this house!
A Modern Sonoma was the perfect house for our girls wine weekend! Kim was super welcoming and helpful, she keeps this house in the most excellent condition. There is nothing you "wish you had" - because it's all there! We spent all 3 nights at the house, cooking and in the hot tub. We never wanted to leave!
Have already recommended to friends/co-workers and looking forward to coming back on my next Sonoma getaway!
We rarely stay in hotels anymore as we prefer the space that a VRBO property provides and our stay at A Modern Sonoma was wonderful for our group of six! This property was exceptional as well as the owner! This is very spacious, very clean home with great living and dining areas throughout, amazing views and comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked with everything that you need! Due to the rainy cool weather, we were not able to enjoy the lounge area with the fire pit, but the hot tub was perfect! Loved the whole house stereo system and used it everyday getting ready for our wine country excursions. You will be very comfortable in this home!
Kim is an exceptional property owner and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is everything and more. After a disrupted day of travel, she was still there to greet us with a fruit and cheese tray and bottle of wine for our personalized property tour. Kim is truly the home's concierge. She provided restaurant recommendations and helped find us a driver for a day of wine tasting. She was always very prompt with answering questions prior to our stay. You will not be sorry for snagging this property up and keeping it as a favorite! Thank you Kim!
A perfect home
I’ve rented many houses in Napa and this is my favorite. It’s modern, spacious, well decorated, and really perfect for a large group. Looking forward to renting it again!
