We are a Swedish family who lives in Vallentuna, Stockholm. We run a small family company and are able to work away from home sometimes. Thats why we bought a "extra" home abroad.
Anneli Gutenberg purchased this house in 2014
We have been traveling a lot but just love this area, the crystal clear water, the friendly people, the activity during highseason, the calm during lowseason, all nice old buildings, the green nature, the stunning views, the food!
We were a group of 8 ppl. We spent a week at the apartment. The apartment is very clean and new. There is plenty of room for everyone . The rooftop patio is great. We enjoyed meals we prepared on the rooftop, great views! The air conditioners all worked really well, even under high heat. Evenings always cooled down anyway. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact. There is usually the on sight manager if you have questions, or we just asked the friendly neighbors. During our stay, someone came by every morning selling fresh croissants and breads. The restaurant across the street, awesome and inexpensive!
And now for the negative. Occasionally there was a cistern smell outside. It made us come inside a few times it got so bad. Apparently the town is aware and is working on moving cistern. Secondly, the beach is not 4 minutes, at least not for us. The closest beach is private. We only have access to public beach. I'd say more like 20-25 min walk, casual speed. The closest pretty beach was 20-25 min with a hike. The last few minutes of trail to the beach is a bit trecherous. My parents couldn't make it down they had to turn back. For us, the beach was too crowded. No room to walk between ppl and umbrellas. However, if you can make it to the beach, don't get hurt on the way, and don't mind throngs of ppl, you'll love love this beach. It is gorgeous! Beautiful water, beautiful sand, beautiful rocks!
Wonderfull, new house with a superb view, overlooking the sea and tropea. We stayed with 2 children and they also had a wonderfull time.
Anneli thougt of everything. We will be back for sure
We are a family with 5 adults and a 6 year old . Our mixed ages (19 to 52) meant we required a space that gave us all room to enjoy our break but lots of opportunities to be together.
This villa was perfect and so well equipped too. Even a cooler bag for a picnic and a parasols were provided. We wanted a pool to so that completed our wish list! It is a good pool with views and was nice and quiet.
The terraces were great for sunbathing and dining with wonderful views as a bonus.
Location was good too as it is hard to find this sort of property close to the beach. We didn't hire a car so it's not easy to get the location that works out. This was fine as there is a supermarket near the station which takes 10 mins to walk and the beach is within a 5-10 minute walk depending on where you go.
The beach is a bit stoney but otherwise perfect for swimming and bars.
It's a quietist place but there are nice places to eat and everything is easy and friendly.
I would certainly like to return and would highly recommend this accommodation.
Good quality property with plenty of room. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Can't complain at anything except as an Englishman having no tea pot was unfortunate.
We would recommend this quality house for adults and children alike.
Perfect house with comfortable beds! Everything was clean and new! Easy to walk to the sea or to the local food store.
We had some dinners on the roof terrace with a marvellous view over Stromboli and the sunset!
Just a short drive took us to Tropea with nice small shops, bars and restaurants. We also took a day to visit Sicily with Etna and Taormina.
See you next year!

The nearest beach is only 4 minutes walk away, some days the beach is just sandy and some days it has got small stones but it is one of the larges beaches in the area. You have many beaches to choose just a short drive away!
A must is to visit the old town Tropea, only 10 minutes by car or take the local train! Small restaurants, gelaterias and small shops in windig alleys. Pizzo is 20 minutes drive in the other direction, a small old town, nice to sit on the piazza on a restaurant or have one of their famous icecream, Tartufo. There are also restaurants at the sea. During highseason there are a lot of tourists and activities but during lowseason it is very calm
