This stylish one bedroom first floor studio apartment is situated in the heart of Kinvarra village forty minutes from Galway City on the edge of the Burren National Park. It is romantic , modern, quirky and deceptively spacious with a mezzanine double bed, closet kitchen with hob cooker and a combi oven grill, free internet access and a courtyard terrace which overlooks the village. A short stroll takes you down to the harbour and a visit to Dunquaire Castle. There is a choice of bistro's and pubs with regular traditional music sessions and a fabulous farmers market every Friday. This is a perfect escape from the city and ideal base for touring Galway and Clare

The apartment was great with some very interesting history! The only thing I would like to recommend is that you should probably have your own car. We knew it was outside of the city of Galway, but didn't realize how tricky it would be to get transportation back and forth. Cab ride was $50 due to traffic coming back after a bus tour we had from Galway. The bus from town is easy but they don't travel back to Kinvara after 6:00 pm and our tour didn't end until 6:00.
Some excellent restaurants around and the grocery just up the street was very convenient. Uma was great to help us get settled and give us the local information.
Shallow Heights is a very clean, comfortable and unique apartment in a great location. I love the kitchen.
There were sunny breaks during my stay and I sat outside on the patio overlooking the main street of Kinvara.
Uma was very nice and got me settled in to the apartment and Kinvara Village.
If you're traveling by Eireann Bus, the stop is right down the street from the apartment.
Conolly's Pub a few doors down has traditional music sessions and friendly atmosphere.
Make sure you stop at the Kinvara Art Gallery for a Latte and chat with Michael.
The self guided tour at Dunguaire Castle is very nice and the green area at the Quay is a relaxing spot to sit and take in Galway Bay.
If you are interested in the local flora, stop at The Burren Nature Sanctuary for a walk through this interesting landscape.
There are many restaurants and pubs to choose from and a grocery store down the street.
I had a delicious dinner of Bacon with Mash & Cabbage at The Thatch.
Nice people there too.
Great place to stay and I would definitely return. Walking distance to all amenities so very convenient plus gas fire makes it very warm and cosy in the evenings.
Very nice place, bright and clean, 30mn from Galway on the road to the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher! The best coffee of Irland is made by Mike on in the Arts Gallery just under the flat...don't miss it!
Nous avons passé une semaine dans ce bel appartement à Kinverra. C'est un charmant petit village de pêcheurs avec plusieurs commodités à proximité. Nous avons vraiment apprécié l'appartement et le village.... Jacques Carten (Québec, Canada)
