Wonderful little spot in a great little town!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I loved this little place! It is very warm and inviting. It honestly has everything a couple would need available. Plus, there's a great little porch in back that is a great spot to enjoy an evening whiskey/wine and cigar! It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. When not out exploring, there are several great little places to visit in town.

Sayre and Uma are very easy to get in touch with if you have questions. When Uma met with us to give us the keys she was sure to point out where the cafes and pubs in town were. And Foxes is right next door and has great breakfast! (I highly recommend the "Fat White" breakfast sandwich!)

One last thing, if you're letting some of the previous negative reviews potentially sway your decision, let me set the record straight:

-The unit does have a washer/dryer. Talk to Uma and she'll square you away, you'll just need to grab some laundry detergent.

-The place is located on the town's main road so there is obviously going to be some traffic. It really didn't impact us because we were out and about enjoying the country and local hospitality during the morning/afternoon. We really didn't notice much traffic during the evenings and I'm a very light sleeper if that tells you anything.

- There's nothing wrong with the furnishings that we saw. Everything was very comfortable.

If you're looking for a comfortable, dry place to lay your head at an incredibly reasonable cost, then this is definitely a place that needs to be considered. We are already planning our next Ireland trip and will most certainly include this place in our itinerary.

Light,bright and convenient flat

  • 4 of 5

Compact and cosy flat in a lovely village. Everything was as described . The traffic noise can take a bit of getting used to . This would not be appropriate for anyone with limited mobility as the stairs to the sleeping area are steep and twisting. As the bed is in the roof space on one side is very limited especially if you are tall.

We very much enjoyed out stay and would return if we were in the area again.

Highly recommend!

We loved the apartment and the village on Kinvara. We would go back and stay longer in a heartbeat. The location on the apartment is in walking distance to every inch of the village and we can't say enough positive things about this place.

Very nice and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The location was great for touring western Ireland. Uma was great, lots of good ideas on what to do and where to find them. The town was small and very easy to get around. Great pubs and resturants.
