Overview

About the property

Charming Appartment Of 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Kitchen And Living Room.

Cosy appartment on the main floor with 2 bedrooms.

The highlights are most certainly the stone counter tops, wood flooring, balcony with access to backyard and free parking. We are located in Limoilou, a trendy neighborhood of Quebec city.

We are a few minutes away for a nice commercial street with bakery, coffee shop, brewery, restaurants. And 10 minutes walk from old port and old Quebec. Public transportation is a couple of minutes away. A very nice bicycle and walking path along the St-Charles river is a block away.

Our recent visitors say the appartment is very quiet, clean and that we are located near everything and it makes it easy to visit the Quebec city area.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Lovely, cosy, renovated appartment walking distance from old town!

  • 5 of 5

The appartment is really well placed - walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops of Limoilou but also a pleasant walk via the lovely Marche du Vieux Port and along water to old town. Once we got a taxi home and it was just 6 dollars too. The owners were very quick to communicate by e mail/text and popped down to see us. Our only slightly negative comment was that we were initially traumatised that there was not a dishwasher which was surprising for such a lovely newly renovated place BUT to be honest, we mainly had just breakfast bowls so we coped😜 Would recommend.

Clean, cozy apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment made for a wonderful base for our visit to Québec City. The apartment was clean, well funished and outfitted. We walked into town each day, which took us about 30 minutes each way. The time of year brought cool temperatures and some rain, but we were comfortable in the apartment at the end of the day! Stéphanie lives right upstairs, and was very friendly and helpful. Also, definitely try the boulangerie around the corner (La Boîte à Pain, at Café Napoli)

Merci, Stéphanie !

Great location, cozy and clean apartment!

  • 5 of 5

Clean, cozy place to stay. Great location, close to grocery store and to pubs just walking distance. A little noisy due to construction right In front of the house, however it wouldn't stop me from staying here again. Great hosts and would come again.

Beautiful and spotlessly clean

  • 5 of 5

Newly renovated, everything is modern. Beautifully decorated and spotless. Stephany and Christian are very attentive. More spacious than it looks in the photos. The dining table expands, can seat 4-6people. The neighbourhood is not fancy, but quaint, charming and quiet. Seems to be a student neighbourhood. Feels safe. Reminds me of the Plateau area of Montreal, but quieter. We had and excellent stay and would stay again.

Wish We Could Give More Than 5 Stars

  • 5 of 5

We were able to stay seven days and they were wonderful. The pictures show how beautiful the home is, but can't portray the warmth that is there. Stephanie and Christian provide everything that you need to make you feel comfortable (excluding food which is easy to get right down the street at the grocery store). While we never got to meet them in person, they sent messages and even left a handwritten note letting us know they were available if we needed them.

We purchased a 5-day bus pass and used it to go into Old Town Quebec, Place Ste.Foy (one of the largest malls), and Montmorency Falls. We visited Parliament, the Citadel, took the Ferry, rode the Funicular, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Plains of Abraham, Fortifications, the Boardwalk, and spent a lot of time just walking around and enjoying the sights. We ate at the little pizza shop around the corner, had gellato at another local shop and got Tim Horton donuts at the gas station.

We stayed out late so when we came back it was wonderful to be able to rest on the couch before heading to some of the most comfortable beds to sleep. The temperature of the house was perfect and we never needed to adjust it. It was raining on a few days so having the washer and dryer available to use was great. My only suggestion would be maybe a basket for the shoes to go in at the front door.....the flooring is so beautiful you don't want to wear any shoes on it.......but then again with 2 adults and 2 kids we probably had more shoes than most, so we had a pile at the entry.

The shower provided plenty of hot water. The house is very insulated which makes it very quiet from outside sounds. The television was there, but we chose instead to spend time doing a puzzle and having family together time. Wi-fi worked excellent. They also have maps, tour books and suggestions of places to go.

They have truly made this a home away from home for travelers. We hope to be able to come again and stay here. This was our first VRBO experience and we are so glad that we had such a great time. Don't even have a second thought about staying here, if you get a chance you won't regret it.

Home away from home near the walled city

  • 5 of 5

From the outside, the building is nondescript, but we parked next to the building (for free for days!!) and entered through a private back yard and porch area. Inside was a lovely, tastefully remodeled, clean 2 bedroom home. All kitchen amenities, a spacious and comfortable common area, and even a full washer and dryer! The beds are comfy and the bathroom clean and well-supplied. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a long day of exploring. Stephanie was very sweet and engaging and spoke fluent English. She even recommended good places to hear live music. The local neighborhood was charming and a 10 minute walk put us in the walled city. Sunday brunch at the Hotel Chateau Frontenac was delicious as was the little corner bakery/cafe near the apartment. On a day of heavy rain, we drove into the walled city and didn't know enough French and got a parking ticket. Be sure to ask those around you about the signage if you aren't sure. The people are very kind. (We are trying to figure out the best way to pay it from the States). Otherwise, we had a great time and highly recommend staying at this apartment. We hope to come back.
